2007 collection of solo recordings from the former Ultravox keyboard whiz. Features songs from the albums Transportation, Push, Stand Up And Walk, Unearthed Pieces Of The Puzzle and Still Movement. The music has a grand scale and of course Billy’s compositional and arranging skills are brought to bear on a number of key cuts such as the haunting 'Requiem', which comes from the Pieces Of The Puzzle album. Elsewhere the Transportation album is the source for the tracks 'Transportation', 'Traveller' and 'Airlift', all of which have that unmistakable stamp of Billy Currie’s keyboards and Viola to the fore along with the signature sound of Steve Howe’s identifiable guitar sound alongside. This 61-minute 2007 compilation is my first purchase of a Billy Currie recording.
Currie plays various keyboards, violin, and viola, though there are no instrument or musician credits in the liner notes. I figured this would be a good place to sample Currie's solo output-It contains 13 tracks total, and although it doesn't list what tracks come from which albums, the all-to-brief liner notes do list that the tracks are taken from Curries following albums:
"Transportation", "Push", "Stand Up And Walk", "Unearthed Pieces Of The Puzzle", and "Still Movement".
Liner notes do mention though that Yes and Asia guitarist Steve Howe plays on some of the tracks from the "Transportation" album.
