This review is from: Size Matters: Effective Graphic Design for Large Amounts of Information (Hardcover)
As a 3rd year graphic design student, I found this book pretty useful. There are some interesting examples and if you take the time to read it, there is some good advice on how to approach designing for big projects, from time management to planning to execution.

Maybe a bit too much on planning and management of projects versus design techniques for handling info/type/etc..

The basic format includes example projects and explanations for each one and some interviews with people in related fields. There are a few exhibit design sections that I didn't really care for, I wish they could have been replaced with more stuff about document design or handling lots of type.

Overall I feel the book was worth the purchase.
