I thought this book would be interesting any maybe have some helpful tips about dressing/make-up that sort of thing. But the Author just goes on bragging and bragging about who she knows! and who took pictures of her! Who cares!? Most women I know are not rich and single and in this economy can afford to go out and get manicures/pedicures and their hair done all the time! Get real! Also she goes from one minute saying " be happy with your size!" and the next minute is saying "don't be too fat!" She's just too wishy-washy and full of herself for me. I would not recommend this book.

I love the story behind Stella's life - it is courageous and lovely. He way of telling her life story and at the same time give great tips of how to feel better about our lives, the way we can look and feel better - and most important - just feel great about who you are. I loved the book cover and the pictures, and it is very easy read. Highly recommend!

I purchased this book on a whim, and I am soooo glad that I did! As a "Plush" size woman, it can sometimes be difficult to feel good about myself in a world where thin is always in. Stella encouraged me to embrace ALL of me, and to do it NOW, not when I lose forty pounds. Her positive attitude, and helpful tips have helped me to step into the fabulous woman that I always knew I could be. I have already recommended this book to several friends. Look out world: We are fabulous, and we are here to stay!

Reading Size Sexy is like sitting down with a really funny, really supportive best friend. Stella generously shares her philosophy for looking and feeling great. And she shares great dish about her days as a model! Size Sexy will help you embrace your curves, no matter your size.

I wanted very much to like Stella Ellis' book, but found most of it cliche-ridden and repetitive. Her story is interesting, but it does not bear repeating on every other page. She sees herself as a wonderful, "voluptuous" exception to the fashion world, but is convinced that you, too, can be just like her. I'm all about loving and accepting yourself, and treating yourself well, especially when it comes to presenting yourself to the world. But Ms. Ellis' advice to just ignore others' judgments falls flat. She seems to believe you can just will yourself to better self esteem. I agree that a lot of it is all in our heads, but more concrete advice on how to love ourselves better, outside of taking bubble baths and buying sexy lingerie, would have been welcome. I'm sure Ms. Ellis is a very charming woman; I'm just not sure she's a very good writer. I found better advice in Shar Rednour's "The Femme's Guide to the Universe;" Simon Doonan's "Eccentric Glamour;" and anything by Brenda Kinsel.
