I just read Charles Evered's book----and MAN, is it amazing---This guy can write. One minute I was laughing, the next I was crying---and I NEVER cry at anything. Buy this book, put on these plays and savor the talent, man---really.

I really liked this book. It was fun and fast to read

I really for the most part enjoyed this book. It seems like they would play very well on stage. Good stuff and thoughtful too.

These plays are super. They would appeal to everyone. The only criticism I have is that some of them are pretty dark at times, but good writing none the less.

I'm not much for reading plays, but as they go--these were fun and easy to read. They are sad and funny at the same time. A good read.

I just finished this collection of plays by the writer Charles Evered. It was a pleasure, really. I had seen one of his plays in Dublin Ireland, actually-- at Trinity College. That play, "Billy and Dago" was supurb. I'm so glad to have found this collection. It was funny and witty and sad and entertaining. Pick it up!

I remember seeing a play of Charles Evered's in New Haven with Liev Schrieber---(The guy from Scream 2. That play, "The Size of the World" is in here, along with some great one acts. Evered writes characters you actually care about. He has an amazing way of moving the reader without resorting to blatent sentimentality. He's also got a great sense of humor. These plays are great to read, and if you're a theatre director, they are easy and cheap and way worthwhile to produce. I know, we've produced several of Evered's plays in our theatre group and we'll keep doing it as long as he keeps writing them! Buy this book, it really is a great one.
