I normally stay away from the newest scrapbooking/die cutting machines, but this cute little machine is a must have for the cardmaker or scrapbooking fiend. Seriously, this is sooo easy to use and it only takes a few moments to transform your plain A2 card into a unique embossed card. As for the embossing "folders" you can use other designs from some of the other well known top companies as well. However I really like the Sizzix designs and sets that they currently have available. (Designs with Wings/hearts, flowers, phrases, animal prints, etc.) But it is great to know that you have that capability to use other like products with the same results. I would also suggest to purchase the sizzix folder sets when you can find them because they are very popular and sell out quickly! It was difficult for me to find additional embossing folder sets at the local stores because they would literally be sold out within a day or so! Trust me, you will want them all! However, the designs will jumpstart and inspire your creativity! There is so much you can do with the finished embossed images that this little gem creates. The most popular technique is to sand the embossed image or apply a light application of your favorite paint or chalk to bring out the design.
The texturing boutique is solidly built, easy to maintain and store. For the price this is an excellent addition to your scrapbooking tool collection. Also it is easy for the kids to use,(with a little help in assembling the sandwich combo) which makes it nice when you have an assembly line going and need a bit of help with putting the components of a project together. The kids especially like the flowers and butterflies! Bottom line, awesome product, easy and fun to use!

The Sizzix Texture Boutique is one smooth machine to use. It is perfect for embossing standard size note card stock with beautiful pressed images. The purchase price is reasonable and the texture plates are also reasonably priced. My grandkids can use this machine with ease, and with great delight. To use the Sizzix you simply layer your card stock or paper between the plastic texture plates and place this between the two heavy plastic covers provided. You then roll this entire 'sandwich' into the machine. By cranking the handle you can immediately get a beautifully textured/embossed sheet of card stock to use for craft projects. There are just a few easy instructions to follow with this unit and it is a breeze to use.

This little machine is a great option for those who just want to emboss. I already have a die cut machine so really only needed something for embossing. This really fit the bill. It is very easy to use and because of its size is very portable, making it easy to take to crops, etc. Fits most standard A2 embossing folders (including Cuttlebug). And it is CUTE. What more could you want?!
In my opinion, this little embosser is a great value for the price.

I purchased this item in January, but have only used it seven or eight times since then. I was originally really happy with this item, since it was easy to use, didn't take up a lot of space, and did exactly what I wanted it to do. However, I was using this item earlier today and the handle basically disintegrated in my hand. There was no unusual resistance on the handle and I was putting a standard piece of cardstock through it, something I have done every time I used it. The handle was turning just fine, then all of a sudden literally crumbled. Even without touching it, the handle continued to break into smaller pieces. I am so disappointed that I spent the money on this item and I definitely would not recommend it. Other reviewers do not seem to have this problem, so it could be a rare occurrence, but I wouldn't take that chance. I am only giving it three stars because it originally worked so well.

I purchased mine at my local craft store and was able to use a 40% off coupon making mine $18.00. Yay! I wanted a smaller one to do A2 cards and this is so perfect. The embossing folders are reasonable and you can use the Paper Studio and Cuttlebug ones in it as well. They run about $5.99 each but you can find them cheaper (online auction site which I will not mention). I am very excited to make some fun stuff with my new friend!

I just love this embosser. The price is just right and it does its job. If you are not looking for anything fancy, this is the tool for you. You can also use Cricut Cuttlebug embossing folders so the number of choices of patterns is twice what you would think. Just remember this is not a die cutter. Thumbs up.

I received the Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine as a Christmas gift. I hadn't ever worked with one, so I really wasn't sure what to expect.... Wow! It far exceeded my expectations! The images are crisp and deeply embossed... they lend such a fun finishing touch to many of my paper creations. Even my 22 year old son had to give it a try. This will definitely be one of my go-to tools from now on!

Works so well and you can use Cuttlebug A2 folders as well. Just know with this machine you can only use the folders vertically, not horizontally.

The product is as described and all you need to start embossing every spare sheet of paper/cardstock. This is so addicting and a great gift for any card maker or scrapbookie as well as your self!! Super easy to use and is very cute out on the counter or desktop. Very easy to use if you have little helpers. I have even broke down and used it to enhanced some lettering and items posted on a company bulletin board to make announcements a little more interestings and appealing during lunch of course.
