I'm amazed at the amount of great advice packed into this fun, easy-to-read and digest volume. Sizzling Sex would make a great gift for your loved one, for any bride or groom - or anyone interested in enlightening themselves, for their own sake or their partner's. Lagatree helps open the door to a more satisfying life by helping you open your mind to so many possibilities. Sizzling Sex is a book which should be on every healthy person's book shelf.

"Sizzling Sex" brings clever writing, classy literature, good humor, and just plain solid information to a subject near and dear to any sentient being. It's a knockout combination that Lagatree appears to have mastered. In this case it makes sex neither a joke nor a chore. Who couldn't benefit from a sensuous suggestion involving, say, silk scarves or massage oils, paired with a snappy quote from P.J. O'Rourke? It's a fun read but the facts stay with you. Once you've enjoyed it, pass it along to your lover (mark your favorite passages) and do yourselves both a favor!

I enjoyed reading this on my recent cruise. It is a conversation starter if that's what you want. Or, a primer for romantic cruise intimacy.

I advocate both.

This well written little compendium gives more good ideas than other stuff on the subject I've read. It's HOT as you want.

Great sex is supposed to be fun--and this book has just the right mixture of advice (hoo-boy...)and wit. Lagatree has done a lot of research but spares us the heavy clinical stuff for the practical and useful. She also brings us famous quotes from celebrities and historical figures to break up the text---I found myself thinking how to interject them in casual conversations. There's a really good chapter on STDs plus she isn't afraid to venture into realms of sex that tempt the more...adventuresome. Brides-to-be, boomers looking for a bit of spice, a good friend with a sense of humor--all would really enjoy getting this as a gift!

If you have even a little imagination, this book is not for you. For example, tip 49 says "For a richly provocative kiss, nibble a top or bottom lip and suck delicately on upper and lower lips." Let me ask you? Is this a secret? Do people really not know this?

Between my husband and I, we found a maximum of 5 to 10 of the 242 "tips" useful. I was hoping to learn more than that.

This book makes the point that thoroughly satisfying sex is not something only fabulous movie stars have on a regular basis. No! Great, hot, mind-blowing sex is actually achieveable by regular people! "Sizzling Sex" contains some imaginative, daring and fun ideas to heat up your love life -- but unlike a lot of sex books, this one presents ideas you could actually imagine yourself doing and enjoying. Some "basics" are covered, in a way that would be helpful to the uninitiated, but also reassuring or affirming to the more experienced reader. The best part is how the ideas, thoughts, suggestions and guidelines are delivered in succinct, spare, entertainingly written short paragraphs, so you're not overwhelmed with a feeling of, "How am I supposed to remember ALL THAT next time my boyfriend comes over?" The tone is friendly, encouraging and humorous. This would be a great book to bring along and read aloud on a spa visit or beach day with "the girls," or to give as a shower gift (passing it around and reading aloud at the shower would be way more fun than one of those "make a wedding dress out of toilet paper" games!). It would also be great to have on your dressing table while primping for a special rendez-vous -- I know I like something to read while I work the curling iron, and "Sizzling Sex" will be there next time I'm mentally preparing for an amourous evening.
