My Review:

Sk8er Boi- It's a weird way to spell it, but the songs catchy, and who can't help but love it? It's totally rock, and that's what I like.

Get Over It- Ha!! That's an awesome title. The song totally rules, the chorus is amazing, the verses are great, the song totally connects and works so well.

Nobody's Fool(live)- I like the fact that she includes some live songs and unreleased songs, some artists just put the same songs again from the album, or remixes(which normally suck). This is better on the album, but it still rules because it's Avril!!

This is great for Avril fans, definitely get it!!

Sk8er Boi is the second single from Let Go, and it's an amazing song! It could be categorized like "melodic punk", but she doesn't like very much the "P" word. I really love this song! I supposed that I decided to buy "Let Go" when I heard this cut. Well, the single also incluides a "new" song or b-side called "Get Over It", which is very nice, kind of "pop-rock" melody. This is a truly powerful song and I think you are going to think the same!
And the last track is "Nodoby's Fool" live in Vancouver. This song is cool, she raps a little when she sings, saying "Fall back, that a look at me and you'll see I'm for real". I like the lyrics of that song, they are really great.
If you still have any doubts, I only can say that you MUST have this single, simple because Avril really ROCKS!!!

Avril Lavigne continues in the tradition of her first single, 'Complicated', with an A-side and two unreleased B-sides. Granted the second B-side here is a live song, but it's a nice addition to the release and makes for a bit of variety. Are you listening to this Britney?! I'm sick of Radio Edit, Album Version, and Karaoke bloody instrumentals from you!!

'Sk8er Boi' is the A-side, if you like it, great, if you don't then I haven't got a clue why you bought this single in the first place. 'Get Over It' is an 'I'm With You'-esque mid-tempo ballad with some incredible vocals from the talented young Canadian and some nice lyrics following in the 'self-empowerment' vein of a lot of her debut album ('it's too bad I'm not sad, it's cast and over / just one of those things, you'll have to get over it'). The other track is a live version of 'Nobody's Fool' which I actually prefer to the album version. A lot more meatier and 'organic' sounding than the hip-hop-meets-rock confection of the album version.

Another great single from Ms Lavigne. Love the cover art, too! (The same as the US I'm With You / Sk8er Boi DVD release).

I really do enjoy listening to this CD. "Sk8er Boi" is a great song that tells a story, and "Get Over It" is a nice song with a catchy tune. However, I give this CD only 4 stars because of the live version of "Nobody's Fool" that's on it. The version of that song on "Let Go" is great, but I despise this version because...Avril's live voice [is terrible]. But I still recommend this CD, it's good. The Sk8er Boi video makes up for the bad version of Nobody's Fool.

This is a great buy!! I TOTALLY love Avril so i had already bought the album, but bought it for the previously unreleased track "Get Over It" and it was worth every cent. Its original and one of Avril's best! Even if you don't like Avril or the song Sk8er Boi song buy it coz Get Over It makes up for that, and if you do like Avril and/or the song, it makes it even more essential!

although sk8er boy isn't my favorite avril song, i still think it deserves its own cd. the b-side "Get Over It" is awesome. the ochestral piece at the beginning is just awe-inspiring. i would give this a 3.5, but it's not possible. skater boy gets QUITE irritating after constantly hearing it on muchmusic, mtv, and the radio. i think avril would have more fans if she wasn't so overproduced. i mean, i still like her and everything, her cd is probably one of the only cds i can listen through the whole thing....i'm still doing so now, and it's been over a year since Let Go came out. but im just saying, i think if avril didn't release this song as her second single, and they didn't constantly play it, she would attract more people. i personally can't wait for her new album to come out! ...which i heard might come out in febuary 2004! and hopefully will have more songs like "Losing Grip" and "Unwanted".

so if u listened to let go, and want more, i suggest u get "skater boy" and "complicated" because both have a few new songs in them.

Sk8er Boi is awsome I can't believe such a good song could be published. I buy on Amazon all the time with my parents supervision. I fully trust Amazon.

It's a shame that many people will never hear "Get Over". I admit that "Sk8er Boi" is not one of my favorite tracks on "Let Go" (that's like saying I'm not into milk chocolate and I'm a chocoholic ;), but "Get Over" is worth the price! Another example of why she's the best new artist of 2002, no matter what the Grammy's say! I look forward to watching her career blossom.

Avirl Lavigne has continued to dominate the billboard charts with catchy songs like Complicated and Sk8er Boi, but what many fans haven' heard are here singles. Let Go is a definite must have album, no doubt. But there are a few singles she wrote that haven't gotten recognition and weren't put on her debut album. These being Get Over It and I Don't Give (not to mention Falling Down from the Sweet Home Alabama Soundtrack). Great Single set. I reccommend it to anyone who's over 12 and enjoys catchy tunes with some drive to them.

You guys are just SO thick, aren't you?? I mean, everywhere I go it's the same thing. People calling Avril a "fake" punk, dissing her, and then the others who just totally support her.

On account of the whole punk thing, I want you guys to find one SINGLE TIME where Avril said she was punk. She never did! And as you guys keep saying, dressing a certain way doesn't make her punk! So she can dress the way she is right now without you guys labelling her a "bad punk" can't she? I mean, if Punk is in the soul what she wears shouldn't be a problem! (Btw, dude, the whole blonde hair comment just sucks. What's wrong with her hair?)

We're supposed to be judging her MUSIC, not her looks or taste in clothes. You don't buy someone's CD just because they "look pretty" or you "support their cause"! You buy it because you like the content- You like what's sung, what it's backing, etc...

As for you "hardcore" fans, I just think that you guys have really good taste in music (in my opinion) but you're going to need stronger arguments than "Avril's the best and that's that, nanananabooboo" to get these other dudes to actually listen. I mean, if you're going to act like five-year-olds what's that going to make them think about Avril since many of you say she's kinda your role model? You guys are basically representing her so you've gotta be careful!
