I really dig Skagen watches. Solid, elegant, & well-made as well as affordable too.

Unfortunately, I ended up returning this watch because the picture posting on the website does not actually represent the product correctly. I saw this mentioned in someone else's post as well. In the picture, the watch appears to have a completely white face with black numbers. Very simple and classy. The watch actually has a mostly silver face with just white flanking on the left and right sides. There is in fact a silver strip down the center of the watch face which is basically a continuation of the metal which the watch casing is made of. After receiving the watch and seeing that this was the case, I double checked Amazon as well as the manufacturer's website. Seems like Skagen has the correct picture and Amazon must have gotten their picture from somewhere else. This watch DOES NOT look exactly like what is pictured. This small detail really changes the feel/vibe of this watch. I couldn't live with it. It was disappointing.

I was looking for a thin watch to replace and older one and this Skagen fit the bill. Thin and great looking.

When I decided to purchase this Skagen, the first thing that caught my eye was its simplicity and ultra-elegant design; this was the style I wanted and this is what I got. The under side of the beautiful leather band is very comfortable. There is one falsity about the pictured watch: the camera did not catch the wide steel strip that runs down the center of the face of the watch and is bordered by two white stripes (I actually like this, however). I recommend not exposing the watch to water or rain because of the fine quality of the band. Very simple, elegant, classy, sophisticated, symmetrical perfection.

I have had this watch for about a month now and I love it. Its case design is exactly what I am looking for, simplistic yet elegant. The thin case also makes it look nice even on my small wrist. The quality of the stainless case is also top notch, indicating very fine craftsmanship.

I took off one star because I feel that the band could be of better design to fit that of the case. Not that the current band is bad, but it could be better. Also the date window could also be better. Currently the date is shown inside a rectangle inside a circle. I think it will look better without the rectangle.

All in all this is a fine piece of watch. And yes, it's very mature looking like the other review mentioned, and it doesn't fit every age.

The watch was delivered today from Jomashop, very excited to open it up. Cutting to the chase: I did not give five stars because I did not realize how big it was, especially after I put it on my thin wrist. Otherwise, it looks just as nice as the product picture. But the product picture doesn't show too well of the wide central strip of sliver running from top to bottom on the dial (the reflective silver appears as white when flash is used during photography). Though in my opinion it doesn't affect the overall look much. Level of detail and craftsmanship is as good as can be expected of a watch this price. The leather band is wide, soft and really comfortable. If the crystal holds up for a few years I would be very satisfied, other Skagen watches have been reviewed as having a fragile crystal. Maybe I should take the advice of the reviewer above and not wear it every day.

This is a really good looking elegant watch. The quality and the finesse of this watch is simply outstanding. It is not a everyday watch as its belt is delicate. It's a very mature looking watch. Please be careful as to whom you are gifting it (if you are gifting it). Looks good even on small wrists.
