In the heart of Scandinavia, where the northern-most tip of the Danish peninsula known as Jutland bends East and breaks the surging waters of the Kattegat and Skagerak seas, lies a small and picturesque fishing village. Its name is Skagen - the Skaw - and for connoisseurs of Northern Europe it is associated with a unique charm that is the result of the fusion of nature-given and man-made romanticism. At Skagen the elements can rage and reduce mankind to mere extras in a veritable power struggle between the sky and the sea. Here, time stands still, all sounds vanish, and nature is so compellingly beautiful that it takes your breath away. Here the perfect purity and beauty explain where Danish design found its unique qualities, and where the international company Skagen Designs found its name. In 1989, Henrik and Charlotte Jorst came to the United States from their native Denmark to follow a dream: that of owning and running their own business, to introduce the Danish lifestyle and philosophy into the lives of many. Skagen Designs was founded by these two natives of Copenhagen on the principle that beautifully designed high-quality objects can be created at reasonable prices. The Skagen Denmark Collections reflect owners Charlotte and Henrik Jorst's creative Danish spirit with clean, elegant designs, skillful craftsmanship and technical perfection. The Jorsts have a hand in designing each piece of the Skagen Collection, from watches to jewelry to sunglasses. Our mission is to create a global community of enthusiasts with our commitment to designing an impressive and unique yet attainable product.
On the pulse of current fashions, this Skagen timepiece has amazing curves that hug the wrist in signature Skagen style. Sporting a smart blend of design and master craftsmanship, this watch is the definition of affordable luxury.See all Product Description

It's black-on-black (i.e., straight baller; stylish; "trendy"), ultra-thin, lightweight, simple (you get what you see), slick, durable (at least for the one month I've owned it), and professional (I rock it in the courtroom). The leather strap is really nice and the price is right (looks and feels expensive, but isn't).
It's a great watch for you old geezers out there too. I'm 24 years-old, and, if he was up to date on his fashion, I'd tell my old man to buy it (actually, I told him to make the purchase a week after I received the watch, but he's set in his ways).
All-in-all, there is nothing bad to say about the watch. It is definitely worth the price and I'm pleased with my purchase.
I first fell in love with this watch when it was featured in GQ, paired against a similar looking watch at nearly 10x the price. The other watch being a boutique swiss watch finished with rose gold instead of stainless steel. This is the slimmest watch I've ever owned, it looks good in casual attire, elegant with a suit, and down right classy when I wore it with a tuxedo.
The first one I bought about 6 months ago, and it keeps perfect time with my cellphone and holds up to the abuse of my blue collar working with my hands job. The only reason I bought a second one, a car door slammed on the first one and scratched the crystal a bit, barely noticeable. However I notice it, and I love the watch. I took it back to the jewelry store where I bought it $30 to repair the crystal. For amazons prices I just bought a second one, Now I have a work watch, and an every other occasion watch.
In case you didn't know, this watch has no second hand. Nonetheless, it keeps time fairly well. Be careful with scratches because the watch gets scratched easily (although it's not that noticeable).
My biggest complaint is that the watch just stopped working after 3+ months. I'm not sure why since I kept it in good condition, but it just stopped. I doubt it's the battery, but at this point, I don't care.
The redeeming aspect of this watch was its style. It's thin and goes well with a good variety of outfits. I got quite a few compliments while wearing this watch. Would I recommend it, though, probably not.
I have a very skinny wrist and the watch looks fine on me. Everything was great and as expected

Immediately got complements on this watch. It looks great. I get a weird rash/hive from the one loop that presses against my wrist if its too tight. Not sure why...Published 13 months ago by Jac11
Good looking watch, kind of a cheap band. Stopped working after 9 mos and my jeweler said it was not the battery. Read morePublished 20 months ago by normalguy
I always get compliments on this watch. It's a low profile but classy design that looks obviously well made but without being super flashy.Published 20 months ago by kjvchhcg
Watch band started breaking a few months in but otherwise very stylish and nice watch. First one of the loops broke, now the leather is cracking. Read morePublished on June 30, 2013 by darkofday

This watch is just average looking, nothing special. It looks like the budget watch that it is. Performance wise, it's kept pretty accurate time so far.Published on January 14, 2013 by Juan G. Peralta
