Skate or Die 2: The Search for Double Trouble
Two Stars - Tried to make skating games cool long before we know about Tony Hawk (. . . and failing)! "Skate or Die 2: The Search for Double Trouble" is a Konami game, developed by Ultra Games which is a ghost publisher that Konami developed to get around Nintendo's limit of how many games a publisher could release on the NES. Unlike the original "Skate or Die", which largely a collection of mini-games like "Track and Field", the sequel featured something of a plot and even had cut scenes. The plot revolved around the titular hero running over the mayor's poodle, which then caused the mayor to ban skateboarding. "Double Trouble" referenced in the title is a two screen large half-pipe ramp with a smaller ramp in the middle. The title features digital vocals during the intro scene and during the game, something quite rare in NES titles There are two main modes: Adventure and Half-Pipe. Half-Pipe is just a single mode where you perform tricks until you run out of lives. Adventure Mode you are out to defeat the mayor's wife and get revenge throughout four levels, ans the mayor as banned all skate boarding. You are equipped, strangely, with a squirt gun in this mode. Though not very playable today, the title was good for its era. The game is also quite a bit better than the first "Skate or Die", but both are pretty laughable by today's standard. The game is more revolution for the digital voices than anything else. The video game website IGN rated this title as the 92th greatest game on their top 100 NES games of all time.

Kinda like 2 games in 1...,

Okay...the 2 games in 1 deal. You have the main game to play and you have the RAMP. Just press select at screen and you get to board on your ramp in the backyard. If you do good CJ (Who looks exactly like Ariel-LITTLE MERMAID) will put her head out of her bedroom window blowing kisses and for every little trick you do, you get extra points...I was going to say pints...but that would be cool too.
The actual game itself is so easy for the first 3 levels then the fourth one. Dear God. I used Gamefaqs and got this map. No Way DUDE!!! So that's where the game fails. You have to travel back and forth in this factory up and down elevators...when I get a game genie I will beat the game but until then I will have to enjoy the intro song and animations but on level one with the first boss its so funny when the old lady shrinks..I mean just playing the first 3 levels and having the ramp is cool enough.
