Everything you could want to know about this cool sport. History and how-to. A complete, lovely book. Ice-boating is more popular, but skate sailing is easier and cheaper!

Incredible & scholarly 196pp publication. Covers everything in detail from A-to-Z for hand held sails and sailing except for patented design held by G.Harpole - mentioned, but under patent protection at time of Friary's writing. Harpole's handbook is now available: How to Make Low- and High-budget Parking-Lot Sails and How to Use Them (54pp)(http://www.wic.net/~gharpole/PrkLtSail/). Friary's book is the best book for the buck I've run into for a long time. My Parking-Lot Sails handbook should top it off.
