I ordered these to help with Ice Skates and find they work well for my work boots as well. The hook is well built and can stand up to my pulling. It is easy to use and effective.

The tip of the hook is a bit too broad/blunt. If the tip was sharper/thinner, it would be easier to slip under the shoe laces and pull up the laces.

The only problem is that your are likely to misplace it, especially if your living room is a mess like mine. After a few minutes of a fruitless search for the gadget, you just give up and tighten you laces the old fashioned way because you have to go to work and the clock is ticking...
