I bought this for my son's 8th birthday. Having been a skater in a previous life, I knew a bit about what I was looking for. It needed to be light enough for his size, have a decent concave, and the bearings needed to be smooth. I was confident about all but the last of these before ordering since I went to the all the all-in-one manufacturers' sites to compare stats. The bearings are fine, thankfully. So far, my son has been happy with the board. It is probably a little heavy for him yet, but he's not far off. Anyway, he's got a few more lessons in balance to learn before he starts doing any tricks. Overall, it's a good skateboard. These all-in-one decks are nothing like the pieces of junk they sold as all-in-one when I was a kid. I do wish they came with rails, but the object of the game is to have the most beaten up looking board, I guess!

I wouldn't recommend this for kids under 8. It is probably a little big. Of course, that would depend on how dexterous your kid is too. For the average kid, 8~9 +, I'd say.

My son skates a lot and goes through boards like crazy. He has had them all every brand of board there is and he told me this Positiv board is the best he has ever had and wants to skate nothing, but Positiv. As a parent I am pleased with the product and the message that this company sends out to young kids. My son intends to skate professionally, and would love to skate for team positiv.

I ordered this skateboard on a random impulse, as I wanted to begin skating. I am 18 years old and the only skateboard I had owned before this one was a cheap $20 board that I bought just for looks.

First of all, the board came really, really fast. I mean less than 48 hours fast, and I hopped on it as soon as I could. I didn't have any clue about skateboards so I went by the reviews that said it was good, and they were right.

The board seemed a little large at first but now I love it. I'm extremely happy about this purchase and wouldn't change a thing. I skateboard around my college campus and wherever I need to go, and the board holds up. The trucks are sturdy, the wheels are spectacular, and I prefer this board over any "professional" board such as PlanB. I didn't even have to loosen any of the wheels, they all spin like a dream.

Go buy this product now. I promise you won't regret it!

I just purchased this for my 7 yr old son. He had never been on a skateboard and was easily able to start right away working on balance and turns. Very good quality which equals safety! Just right for a beginner who wants to try skating to see how they like it. The best part is we ordered it with two day shipping and it arrived in one day!

I did a lot of research into getting a beginner board. A lot of people point to getting one already put together instead of buying different parts to assemble yourself because it's cost effective and it lets you get a taste of boarding before shelling out your wallet. After attempting to get a cost estimate of a custom board (which went well over $100), I decided an already made one would be better.

After much research I chose this board for the following reasons:

1. The board length matched my height. I was a little afraid it would be a bit longer than I wanted, but when I tried it, it was a good length. (I'm 5 ft 5 in, btw). My friend who is 5 ft 1 in can also use my board, although it's a bit long for her. Unfortunately, you won't find pre-made boards shorter than this. I looked high and low.

2. The wheels match what I want to do - small hard wheels for riding street.

3. The design is phenomenal. One of the nicest boards out there unless you want skulls or cartoons on it.

After riding this board a few times, I am very happy with it. It is truly a quality skateboard.

POSITIV Team Complete Skateboards

I am 12 years old and I got a Positiv skateboard. I originally wanted a World Industries (WI) instead but my dad thought the Positiv appeared to have better quality and information available via the other customer reviews. When my dad bought the Positiv I wasn't really happy because I wanted a WI. However, when the Positiv arrived and I opened the box I didn't want to go back to any other skateboard. I love this board......it is perfect since I am a beginner I usually just skate down the driveway and recommend the same board for anyone who is also new. The packaging wasn't that good and the box it came in was pretty damaged when it arrived but the board was fine. I would REALLY recommend this board. It has gotten me to go outside more often and away from the Wii and Xbox. Now all I want to do is skateboard.

At the fifty-something dollar delivered price that I paid for this board I consider it worth the price. I also own a higher end skate shop board with Powell deck, Indy trucks, and Spitfire wheels as a comparison. I bought this as an inexpensive diversion since I am away from home for an extended time and just wanted a simple activity to kill time with and maintain my sense of balance. The POSITIV board is not high end but it is not designed to be. It is a huge step up from what I have seen in the blue and white big box everything stores and toy stores and not that much more expensive than the boards they stock.

This board it is a good quality complete board at a reasonable price. All of the components work together well and the quality is good. I'm an adult who grew up on skateboards and BMX bikes but never outgrew the fun they bring. If you are a casual skater, or beginner who just wants a fun complete board at a low price then buy this board. If you want something more then be prepared to spend more for higher end components and build yours from the ground up. The deck is very sturdy and the concave surface compares with my Powell deck. I also need to add that at a solid 230lbs I have not felt the huge flex I was expecting to feel in a deck at this price. The trucks and wheels are decent quality as well. The trucks tightened to suit me and the wheels roll smoothly. If you are used to the more expensive components then you will notice a difference, but it is not a huge difference. If you want a great starter or relatively inexpensive spare, then I recommend the Positiv.
