2.0 out of 5 stars Strictly for the under 10 crowd, September 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Skateboard Kid [VHS] (VHS Tape)
There is so little realism in the this movie - that it is strictly for young kids - like under 10. To begin with the star is supposed to be 13 - well, he is about the youngest looking and acting 13 I have ever seen. Also the idea that one can learn enough about skateboarding to win a rather large competition literally overnight, just because you believe in yourself, is quite a stretch. Any kid old enough to watch this movie knows better. The skateboarding and music are about the only good things in this movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Soundtrack! The Trashkittens rock!, December 2, 1999
This review is from: Skateboard Kid [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The movie itself was okay. I suppose it was about as good as you could expect for a flying skateboard movie. However, the soundtrack performed by The Trashkittens was absolutely fantastic! A real honest hard drivin' rock soundtrack that really outshines the movie by far. Do yourself a favor and check it out! And somebody get those guys a record deal if they don't already have one!
