Skechers Twinkle Toes S Lights Groovy Baby Lighted Sneaker (Little Kid/Big Kid)

My 7 year old daughter loved these shoes the minute she saw them at a local department store. This was the first time I let her pick out, on her own, a pair of gym shoes. Unfortunately, the shoes just fall apart. The first thing that came apart was the fabric on the toe of the shoe (where the rhinestones and lights are). The fabric pulls up/unglues and starts to fray within a week. The glitter cracks along the lace holes and now less than one month later the rubber around the bottom (where it says Skechers) is peeling off the canvas at pressure points where her foot bends. Only some of the lights are still working at this point but that seems so minor when compared with the other problems.

My daughter has told me other girls in her class have had the same problems and some have even returned them. I am sooooo disappointed in these shoes. Skechers should be ashamed of themselves for making such an eye catching shoe of such poor quality. They have lost me as a customer!

I bought these at Jcpenney's for my 4 year old. She had them less than a week and the fabric has already fell off the shoes.

Looks better on the foot than the shelf and my 3 year old has no comfort complaints! However, this does not replace the VERY CHEAP quality. After 3 days the lights on the left shoe went out, and after two weeks now the decorations on the side and glitter on the top is coming off. Forget trying to wash or clean them, this material does not let go of stains. The shoe strings have even come apart and I had to replace them. Also, the store would not take them back (even within 30 days) because they were so "worn out". Well no duh, right? That was the point. Unless you have 40 bucks to literally toss out the window do NOT buy these.

My 5 year old daughter wanted these shoes badly after seeing them on tv. I was not going to get them for her because her feet grow so fast I was worried that she wouldn't wear them very long. Well her dad bought her a pair and she loved them. She wore them every day to school. I noticed they started getting pretty dirty so I threw them in the washing machine. I was worried what they would come out looking like, however they looked great, nothing fell off, the designs are still there. I think these were a very great shoe. Just two days ago she told me that her shoes were getting tight. So now I am looking to find her a bigger size. I was very shocked to see all the reviews saying that they had problems with the shoes. Yes the shoe strings did start to fray a little, however what does one expect from a young child, even my shoe strings get frayed.

I think these shoes are great. Will say to use caution at night the lights really scared me one night when I apparently bumped them and they started to light up. I give these a thumbs up and am excited to see her face when she gets a new pair.

BOUGHT THESE FOR MY 2 YR OLD. SHE LOVED THEM, GOT LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS ON THEM, BUT ONE TIME GOT MUD ON THEM. I GENTLY WASHED THEM IN THE SINK, TRYING NOT TO GET THE LIGHTS WET, AND TO MY SURPRISE, ALL THE DECORATION ON THE SIDES WIPED RIGHT OFF. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO WAY TO GET THE MUD OFF WITHOUT GENTLY RUBBING THE DECORATION OFF.

My daughter adores her Twinkle Toes Skechers. This is the second pair we have purchased. I agree with other reviewers that these shoes don't last long, especially for the price. The lights, which everyone comments on, work only sporadically at best after only a week or so. The shoes aren't constructed to last very long, either. Her first pair is less than three months old, and the glitter is worn off and some of the seams are fraying. However, these are one of very few shoes that can be worn over ankle-foot orthotics (braces), and they make my daughter feel special, so I don't care. I'll buy a new pair every six weeks if I have to.

My daughter had been begging for these. I bought them for her 5th birthday, and she was thrilled. Three weeks later, the lights went out on the left shoe(except the flower on the side of the shoe, which burns like a laser without turning off). The vendor was very helpful and is sending a return merchandise authorization and said they would refund or replace the shoe. Unfortunately, I then started reading the reviews on the shoe and found that there are 8 one-star ratings to every 2 five-star ratings. Complaints the lights go out, the fabric separates from the toe cap in a month's time, the decals practically wipe off. Skechers is practically the most expensive shoe in its category, I would expect them to be well made and to last forever. Thanks, Skechers, for ruining my daughter's favorite birthday present!

These were a birthday gift from a family member. While my daughter loves them, and receives lots of compliments, as others mention in reviews--there are 2 major concerns:

1.Poor Quality- Glitter is worn out at all seams in the first month. The canvas is fraying on toes, where gems and lights are and the shoe laces need replacing.

2. Laces do not stay tied---meanwhile the tongue of shoe creeps downward and constantly needs to be pulled out from under laces. This is the most irritating part to me.

However cute and comfortable they may be....I would not buy another pair....the slip on kind may not have the tongue problem, but poor craftsmanship is nevitbale. NOT worth the $40+ dollars they can cost! (And they have a lifespan of about 3 months)

I purchased three pairs of these shoes, one for my daughter and two for my nieces. And they all had the same problem. The lights went out on all the shoes in two weeks period. I tried contacting Skechers and their response to me was to pay to have them shipped back to them and if they thought the default was from quality, they will send me another pair of shoes. Waste of time and Money. It's sad because they are very cute sneakers and everyone loves them, but they do not last and was a big disappointment for the girls.

My daughter had been bugging me for some Twinkle Toes for some time. Finally, for back-to-school I bought her these and she loves them. She says they are comfortable and she hasn't complained about the fit. They are holding up well so far, the lights are all working and nothing has fallen off the shoes so far. It was a good buy!
