Ok, First off I'm a male in his mid 40's.
Secondly I need to exercise more and found out how AWESOME SKECHERS Shape ups were just the other day at our local Department store while shopping with the wife for shoes for her.
The Dept Manger brought the wife out some SKECHERS Shape Ups to try on, and she asked me if I would like to try some on also.
I end up trying on a pair of Women's Shape-ups - Style #11815 in a Women's size 11M (same as a mens 9D) and fell in love with them except it is Winter now and I needed boots instead now here in Kansas!
So I bought A pair of Shape Ups - Elasticity in Black 11M since there is no mens boots and they fit like a dream!
No more Freezing my feet in Canvas Hi Tops or my Steel Toe work shoes this Winter!
YAHOO!!!!!!
These Boots look fine under guy's jeans or with the jeans tucked in to keep them dry while out in the Snow, and really if you ask the wife or myself they could be sold as men's boots also.
I could feel right away how they make you work your legs, but were also so very comfortable at the same time.
The first thing I did when I got them was to waterproof them, and Am I glad I did!
Since I just got done shoveling 7 inches of snow off the driveway in them!
And my feet for the first time WERE NOT FROZEN!
I can see I'll be wearing these everwhere I go and getting a workout at the same time!
What more could you ask for warm dry feet and a great workout to help you loose weight!
And BTW I had no problem with the soles slipping in the snow or on the ice.
Also they will fit larger calves just fine as mine at the top of the boot are 16".
These are some great Boots and I will be buying more SKECHERS SHAPE-UPS for Summer and in fact my poor other Sneakers don't stand much of a chance to get worn that much any more if ever!

Right off the bat, I will tell you- you read everywhere about how these shoes run a half-size small? Not in this style. They are very true-to-size. I have a few pairs of Shape Ups, and I love them- this pair is no exception. They have a zipper, so you don't have to mess with lacing them all the time, and I have worn them comfortably all over Disneyland. They easily came off for an airport screening, and were back on my feet with a minimum of fuss. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the small Velcro strip used as a closure above the zipper- it makes the top buckle a bit. But I can tell it was a must for the necessary versatility to fit a wider range of sizes. These are very cute and comfy- I have gotten compliments every time I have worn them. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase!

I have a pair of Skechers ankle boots that I've had for years and love how toasty they keep my feet without making them sweaty during cold weather. I also have a pair of Skechers shape-up sneakers that I absolutely love, so when I started shopping for a black pair of winter boots I found these. They are everything I expected. So comfortable and my feet stay toasty & dry in these also. They are a little sporty for some dress occasions, but if it means keeping my feet warm I'll wear them anyway. Also I was pleased that these are true to size and you can wear a heavier sock where as the sneakers are a little snugger and are best with a lighter weight sock. You will not be disappointed if you purchase these great boots.

I was so excited when I saw these boots available for just $[..], and really wish they would have worked out for me. The website claims that Shape-Ups are designed to reduce stress on the knees & ankles, but that wasn't the case for me. They made my feet & ankles roll inward, which caused pain in my knees & ankles. They're cute though, and I'm sure others would find them comfortable, so please don't let my review stop you from trying these for yourself!

I've been using the Shape Ups for about a month now. And believe it or not, they really do offer a workout. Though, to me, it's more like constantly walking uphill than through sand. I've even gone down a half to full size in jeans.

Anyway, these boots were on sale last week, and I snatched them up for next winter. I bought them in Chocolate and they are gorgeous. However, unlike the regular Shape ups, which were a comfortable true to size, these seem to run on the large side. They're VERY roomy. (likely) perfect for a pair (or two) of thick socks in winter. If socks aren't your thing, you may want to order a half size down.

Also on the plus side, each boot has a zipper than runs from the foot to about two thirds of the way up the calf. So you can get in and out of them without completely untying. Additionally, near the top of the boot there is a velcro closure that will allow extra flexibility in calf size.

Wonderful Winter Boats. I am a mature woman who has never been able to wear high boats like this because they are always too tight! The combination of laces and a side zipper make it easy to fit. They keep me warm in this cold Iowa winter. And the shape up curve of these boats and other Shape up shoes actually help my osteoarthritis of the knees. I have much less pain walking with the Shape Up shoes!
I am also a nurse working busy 12 hour shifts. My Shape Up athletic shoes have helped my knees make it through some long busy night!

I am a big fan of the Shape-Up shoes, and I have several pairs of both the tennis shoe and the sandal. Since I live in the NE where there is alot of snow, I wanted to try a boot that also provided a work-out for my legs.

I usually wear a size 7 shoe, and I have a wide 7 in one pair of my tennis shoes. I was a bit concerned about the boots being too skinny for my feet, but they were not tight at all. I find the boot to be very consistent with the sizing of the tennis shoe, both in length and width.

I read many reviews before purchasing, and one person mentioned that the boot did not provide good ankle support. The first time I went out and walked in them I found this to be the case, but I was able to fix the problem and make the boot MUCH more comfortable by taking the time to completely unlace the boot, then tie them up firmly around my ankle and leg. Since there is the 3/4 zipper on the inside of the leg, now I just unzip to get them on and off-I never untie the boot anymore. This keeps them nice and secure around the ankle, but very easy (and quick!!) to get on and off. I definitely would not shy away from buying these just because of concerns about the support-take the time to tie them up and you should enjoy them just fine!

Just like any winter boot, these offer great traction in the snow and ice. Since ice is slippery, the boot does slip when it is really icy out, but that would be expected with any shoe or boot, unless you have metal prongs on the bottom to prevent slipping. I walk my puppies in the boots every night in the snow, ice, and slush with no problems at all.

I definitely recommend spraying the boots before wearing them with some type of water repellent since the boots are a suede leather. Once I did this I have had no problems with any water soaking through. I also wear my boots with thin ankle soaks, and I have not had any problems with my feet being cold or uncomfortable. I have worn the boots with pants/jeans tucked in and over the boots and they look great either way.

If you're a fan of the Shape-Ups I think you would definitely love these boots. I have had so many compliments on them, and I love them so much I got both the chocolate pair and the black pair. Both colors look great!

I really like these boots, but they fit weird. The foot is a half size too big, and the calf is a half size too small.

In other words, I can only wear the calf part over a sock and nothing else (like long johns or if I wanted to tuck my pants in)... but it has to be thick socks, or otherwise it's way too big in the foot part. Never had a problem with the calf being too small on any pair of boots before.

I don't have a problem wearing them just with thick socks, but I thought people should know.

Well, they looked exactly like the photo and are rather funky. I was pleased. Until I tried them on. Unfortunately, I'd ripped off the tags so (mea culpa) can't return them. Plus, I am in Oz and they are from the US so it's probably not worth the postal cost!
Basically, the boots are much much bigger than the size on the box. I bought a size 9 US (UK 39). I wear a size 9 US in Skechers shoes. That size usually fits perfectly. The boots were a good inch longer than my toes. Even with thick socks, they're never going to fit me.
So, buy these as they are great value, but go down at least a half size, if not more. Check with the seller about the internal length before you buy.

I now have 5 sets of skechers shape ups, with the Elasticity Fitness boot rounding out my all seasons collection. I love what this line of footwear does for your posture and I find them very comfortable. I live in the snow and ice belt so the boot's performance in adverse weather conditions is important to me. The Fitness boot has good grip/traction, is warm and cozy and is cute to boot. I got these boots for a good price on Amazon.com and am very happy with them.
