I really like the shoes. I don't really know about the toning of the legs and butt, I'm getting in better shape, but it might just be the walking itself. One thing I would warn people about is that they should order 1/2 size larger than their normal shoe size. These are a little small for me. I can still wear them, but I would definitely get the next larger size next time.

I have had several reconstructive surgeries on my knees due to injuries. I purchased a pair of the shoes to try based on the claim they are easier on the joints. Although I've not owned them for very long, so far I am absolutely in love with them! I walked my dogs for 2 hours tonight and my knees don't hurt at ALL - I am simply amazed! I can't speak to the claims of weight loss, improved circulation and such, but I do feel more of a workout in my hamstrings, calves and quads. I also feel as though I walk taller in them, which is excellent since I have terrible posture otherwise. When I stand for long periods of time, my legs don't hurt as they used to - I am just thrilled. I will definitely be getting more of them in additional colors and styles!

While I have enjoyed wearing the Shape Ups, I have had 2 minor back injuries since I bought them. I will tell you to sit down when putting them on and be careful of how you bend down to pick something up when wearing them. I have never had back problems so I think this is tied to the shoes. On the plus side they have made my lower legs look stronger and leaner. Not sure that I use them enough to get other benefits yet. All and all I am pleased with the purchase.

Just bouncy and fit in my shape ups. Best fitness shoes for walking I have ever gotten.
