I was really excited to get these shoes and paid more for them then I have ever paid for an everyday walking shoe. The first night I wore them to work (I am a registered nurse and I work 12 hour shifts)I definately noticed a slight burn in my legs, but after that night I was never bothered by them again. They are by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn to work or anywhere else for that matter. Since purchasing these many of my co-workers have also purchased them and are also very happy with how comfortable they are. I am going to buy more pairs of shoes like these in some different styles this summer since these have been worth every penny. The only thing that I would say negatively about them is that I really did not feel as much of a workout as I was hoping to, but other than that they keep my feet, knees, and back from hurting by the end of each shift and that is very important to me.

I have these on right now. I had no problems breaking them in; the fit was perfect-true to size. I'm a first grade teacher and I've worn them to work. At the end of the day, my feet still feel great. I just wish they were a bit cheaper...I'd love to have several pairs!

I read the reviews before purchasing as I don't like spending that much on a shoe.
I have Plantar Fasciitis, bad ankles, knees and hips.
These shoes have been the best I have ever worn!
Yes I feel the work out they give my legs, but even better to me, no more pain in my heels.

First of all I want to say these shoes appeared to be a bit to high when I first saw them on a friend of mine. But when I injured my ankle (repeated sprains) and it wouldn't heal my doctor suggested i get a very cushiony shoe, so I thought of Sketchers Shapeups! I got my shoes just 3 days ago and within 24 hours my injured foot felt much better and today I don't feel any pain at all! On top of that pleasant surprise, I have been able to work out moderately using the Nintendo Wii Fit program and wearing the sketchers around the house [I wouldn't dream of wearing them out in the 4 Feet of snow we currently have outside :))] I have felt my legs get a real workout and my back is in no pain at all, something I normally do struggle with. One piece of advice I would give potential buyers though is to buy them where you can easily exchange them if need be. I bought mine at Zappos.com and although i had no issues if I had purchased them on Amazon I may have since I needed a wide shoe and wide was not available on Amazon. I would buy another pair on Amazon as long as it was actually sold by Amazon and not another seller. I got a good price for mine at only $60.00 so I will be buying a couple of more pair, so I can keep one clean for in the house only. I am looking forward to doing a real workout this summer outdoors. Whether you buy them for exercise or just good foot support they are well worth it! Unlike some reviewers I can say these shoes do offer very good arch and heal support. I normally need to wear orthotic devices in my shoes and I hate them. These shapeups have allowed me to get full support and feel comfortable as well as enjoy the ability to have a pain-free experience!

Maybe it's just me, but i hate these shoes. I bought them to exercise with and i feel like i'm going to break my neck so i bought a pair of new balance trainers. From what i can tell, these shoes are solely for walking and even then, they take a lot of getting used to.

I received 'Skechers Women's Shape Ups - Strength Wide Fitness Work Out' and they are as I expected: the right size, without imperfections and very comfortable (I already have an older pair of this kind of Skechers fitness shoes, with small differences). Recommended for all those who want to get in shape without setting foot in a gym!

I love the shoe , but my order was mixed up !!!! I ordered the strength wide , but shoe mall sent me an email confirming my order for a different shoe !!!! The metabolize shape ups have different product numbers because they are a different shoe !!!

We were going to the UK for our 25th wedding anniversary and I desperately needed comfortable walking shoes. My husband bought his at a store for considerably more money than I bought these on Amazon for. I wore them for 2 weeks before we left to make sure they would be appropriate. I can't wear other shoes now. My lower back pain disappeared after 2 weeks. When I try to wear my old shoes the pains came back.

I work in a boutique so I'm on my fee A LOT. I was skeptical as to the comfort of these shoes, but I've got to admit - I love them. My feet are not tired by the end of the day - but my legs do feel as if they've done some work. I haven't noticed my back giving me a problem either since wearing these.

I didn't realize I had ordered the wide width until they arrived, but to my pleasant suprise they fit wonderfully. . .guess I have Fred Flintstone feet after all.

I saw my sister in law with these shoes on and asked if they were comfortable and her reply was "yes indeed, they are the best" so I had to find some myself. I looked for a long time until I decided to check Amazon; found them, bought them and now that I have them, they are great! I like the way my feet feel and what it does to my body when I walk. These shoes are wonderful, you must get a pair.
