Not a band jam from the summer of 86,

I remember this from the summer of 1986. Pretty popular among the teeenagers at the time, but was overshadowed by Run DMC's "Raising Hell." This is almost as good as the first UTFO CD. Funny stories in "Split Personality" and "Bad Luck Barry". "Kangol and Doc" contains some really nice harmony as well as syncopated raps. The Educated Rapper is missing from this one, but his absence is not really felt. Overall, good old school rap that is sadly forgotten today.

My Mom bought me this as a cassette tape back in the 1989. The songs are hilarious and actually made sence as you listen to the lyrics unlike rap today. I wanted this cd cause this group was part of my child hood and it was what good clean rap was all about. It was packaged well and shipped timely.

While not as good as their debut album or anywhere near as popular, this piece contains some very good raps. Check out Split Personality, Bad Luck Barry, and Just Watch. If you're looking at UTFO, get their debut album first and if you like that pick this one up. Good stuff.
