More than you probably want to know about most of the subjects covered. But a good place to begin to do detailed research in any of the specialized fields of parapsychology. If you would like to discover other such skeptical books, search the Internet for the following exact expression: "OCCULTISM AND SCIENCE". James Leonard Park, skeptic.

Emphasis is placed on skepticism and the need for hard data. The scams and frauds of the past are examined and the role of sleight of hand is covered. If you firmly believe in Psi power, ghosts, and other such phenomena then this book might leave you a bit perturbed. On the other hand if you wish to approach parapsychology as a science and can maintain a level of skepticism in your investigations then this book is of inestimable value. |
