Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Driving back from a ski weekend, Ariel, Shannon and Doug have offered their new friend Red a ride home. When a blizzard makes the roads nearly impassable, Red leads the teens to a farmhouse where they can spend the night. Unfortunately, their shelter is not the safe haven it appears: its residents have their own plans for Ariel and her friends. Though filled with action, this addition to the Fear Street series lacks urgency and dramatic tension. The characters are minimally defined and the contrived plot barely manages to hold together a surfeit of bland cliffhangers. Ages 12-14.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting, but very predictable, October 21, 1998
By A Customer
This book was pretty good, but as I said it is very predictable. The ending is expected because there is alot of suspicion towards the person who ends up being involved in the conspiracy. It's interesting how these innocent-like kids end up in a very tangled up situation! I would definitely rate this 8 out of 10. I would definitely recommend this book indeed! ~Chloe

4.0 out of 5 stars Ski terror, August 1, 2009
Ariel, Doug and Shannon were stranded by a blizzard when Red turns up. He brings them to a lodge but suddenly their hosts are acting hostile. They are stuck in a house full of guns and the phones are dead. Then the real terror begins.

Another great Fear Street installment.
