Our beginning skiiers (ages 6 & 9) had fun watching this and both picked out several "quotes" or helpful hints from the video to talk about on the way to the mountains before our next day of skiing. We've watched it several times and they seem to pull out different tips each time they watch. It was fun for them to watch other young people instead of adults.

I was very disappointed with this video. The video was about 95% videos of kids skiing to a music soundtrack and 5% actual instructions. The kids read a scripted line or two about how to turn and then you watch a bunch of kids just skiing. I was looking for much more instruction and explanation. This is the the video equivalent of taking a ski lesson from an amateur kid rather than a professional instructor. If you would rather have your kids learn from a professional instructor, then I would not recommend the "by kids" instructional video. My fault for buying this -- the video is as advertised. I'm not sure why I thought ski instructions from 8-year olds would be very good....live and learn....

This dvd exceeded my expectations!! Very informative and entertaining. The kids love it, and it's great for the adults who need to brush up on there skiing skills. A must have for anyone beginning to ski.

Great instuction and entertainment. The kids ask to watch it over and over again and learn something new each time. If your kids ski or want to begin skiing, this is the DVD for them.

I like this product and I like the whole concept. Where it falls short is in the amount of actual instruction, drills and tips. It does a great job of showing fine form and the kids are very impressive & likeable. Things that I have always used to teach people to ski (Keeping shoulders square to the hill, Pretend you're carrying two pitchers of beer (or rootbeer considering the audience), Always be turning, Ski in control, letting legs shift for stability in hockey stops, Keep your eyes on the top of the hill in a herringbone climb, unweighting) were either not discussed or breezed over.

Maybe it needs to contrast bad form with the good form.

More inspirational than instructional.

There was very little instruction in this video. Telling kids to put their skis on edge without explaining what that means is worthless. They try to cover way to many skill levels and end up not helping any level. Watching advanced kids ski the half pipe doesn't help teach a beginner skier at all.

kids and adults alike learn and ask to watch dvd over and over even experts skiers can learn from these kids.There are over 30 easy to understand tips in the dvd that really work when skiing.
