5.0 out of 5 stars I love my new skil 3400 table saw, January 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Skil 3400-12 10-Inch Table Saw Kit with Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
I got my new Skil 3400 table saw package, every part was there undamaged. I assemble it in 20 minutes and it worked, the first job for the saw was to cut some purple heart for my patio rails and some strips, I was impressed. This is the first table saw I ever purchased and it is easy to used, just remember the safety aspects. I would recommend this product to anyone. My only regret it that I should have order the collection bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent build quality, but has some quirks, April 23, 2010
This review is from: Skil 3400-12 10-Inch Table Saw Kit with Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
I like this table saw, it works well out of the box, and it is pretty decently made. My only complaints with it so far, are that the T-Slots for the Miter gauge/guide are not full T-slots, and are not standard 3/4" miter slots either. Meaning the "T-Slots for the miter gauge slide only have 2 one inch sections that are truly "T" shaped. the rest of the T-Slot is simply a "U" shaped channel. Unfortunately these "U" shaped sections are not the standard 3/4" miter slots either, they are a bit thinner than the standard 3/4". This makes it really difficult to find feather boards and other accessories that will fit this system. I might just end up taking the cast top to a machine shop to have them convert the supposed "T-Slots" to a standard 3/8" x 3/4" miter slot. Also, the cast section of the table is not perfectly flat, it has a bit of a bow downwards at the edges. Not a big concern as it is less than a 1/16" at the limit.
