This review is from: Skills for Living: Group Counseling Activities for Elementary Students (Paperback)
The topics are diverse and comprehensive, but in actually implementing the curriculae, it seemed disjointed and to not "flow" well from one session to the next. Perhaps it's better to use as a lesson plan for a much more structured group than I customarily facilitate. The kids enjoyed the activities, and many of them can be pulled out to use in other ways. Although it says for elementary level, As a whole, the most activities were too young for many of my 4th graders, and all of the 5th and 6th graders (they thought the activities were silly.) Overall, I would recommend it - it's structured for 8 sessions per topic, but better for 1st through 3rd, and some of 4th graders.
