Wow, so much talent on one album!
Highlights are "The Gift", Susie Keynes and her powerful voice will bring a tear to your eye... "Time To Go" If Sam Lohs doesn't get your toes tapping you've probably had them amputated and Mel, Mel, Mel, this album would not be the amazing creature it is without Mel Watson's palette of horns with which she paints the world in rainbow colours. This band make me proud to be Australian, a country where a group like this can form and grow must have something special in the air! The cover art is creative and original and catches the spirit of the girls in this group. The only bad thing about Fruit is trying to describe them in words to people who ask me what kind of music they play. They are so authentic and true to themselves that their music seems to defy description.. But to try to communicate what people can expect to hear from fruit I usually go with "folk/rock". But Fruit really are something you have to hear for yourself... This album is on high rotation in my CD player along with all of fruit's albums, I recommend it to all! |
