Meet Keisha Montez: a gorgeous college student on the brink of stardom. All she has to do is put her assets to work...

Keisha Montez is drop-dead beautiful with a knockout body that doesn't quit. She's also one very smart, tough woman with big hopes for her future. Keisha wishes she didn't have to strip at L.A.'s Chi-Chi Club, but it's the only way she'll make enough money to attend UCLA and see her dreams become reality...

Steven Cox has big ideas too. As the head honcho at the very profitable PIMP Magazine, Steven is poised to take the skin game to the next level. He needs the hottest woman the world has ever seen. When his talent scouts tell him about a new chick they've discovered, he has his doubts until he sees Keisha Montez strut across the stage. Blown away by her bombshell good looks and her sexy moves, Steven knows he's found his star. Now he's got to teach her the ropes and get her to see things his way. But Steven is about to learn that Keisha isn't like most other young women hungry for fame and willing to do anything for the limelight...

This is a fast pace, kept on track, no loose ends in your face raw story. Keisha is smart but born into a situation, and she has a goal, but has to find a quick way to achieve that goal. She makes some decisions, not always the best decisions, but she always tries to stay in control. Unfortunately for her all her decisions, don't turn out the way she planned them, and when she hooks up with Steven, through Sean is when things get down right ugly and dirty. If you can't take profanity, explicit sex, then you can't handle this story...because it so hot that you will need oven mits to read it!!!!!!!!! Keisha and Patra show us along with the other characters in the story, why some make the choices they do. All strippers are not hoes and all hoes are stupid. Some women along with men enjoy the line of work that they choose. Sometimes it is all about the money and other times it isn't. Keisha shows us that she is doing her thing to further herself in life and not have to always be in the game. Steven a sleazy businessman shows us that in the game you don't want to mess with the wrong one, but then the tables get flipped when Donovan steps back in the picture. See you never know who someone has in their corner to watch their back. Fast paced, in your face, straight to the point and leaves no loose ends story. If you can handle the heat, then enter the kitchen otherwise you may get burned. This is an adult story (If the sex wasn't so intense..this would be a great story for young girls to read also, but do to the nature of the business, I don't recommend it to teens). Good job in my book Lawrence Ross!!

Showing Her Skin to Win October 19, 2007
Format:Paperback
Skin Game by Lawrence Ross is a fast-paced look at what a young girl will do when she feels she has no choices. Keisha Montez is a smart, beautiful girl of eighteen who is working weeknights as a stripper at the Chi Chi Club. She has been accepted at UCLA and is determined to attend, majoring in Women's Studies. Her mother, Veronica, has refused to fill out financial aid forms so Keisha is convinced the only way to earn money is by stripping. She does not like her environment and likes Sean her boss even less but she is bound and determined to get what she needs.

While dancing she is discovered by Steven Cox, a former attorney and the owner of PIMP magazine. Steven is determined to grow from magazine owner to producer of pornographic movies. Once he meets the beautiful Keisha, he knows she is the one to get him where he wants to go. What he does not know is Keisha is not the run-of-the-mill stripper turned porn star and she is not one to be pushed around. Skin Game is a roller coaster ride that takes the reader from what is to what can be and shows how one young girl handles herself when she is determined.

Skin Game is a recommended read for all readers who love a timely, well-told story of someone who makes bad decisions when young, yet works to rise above them.

Creative September 10, 2007
By N. Lott
Format:Paperback
This is an exceptionally creative book. It addresses peer pressure, focusing on goals, regaining focus, and also standing by what you belief. This can be a tool used for discussion especially amongst college groups or persons who may find themselves going outside the normal ways of making money in order to obtain a positive goal, such as going to college.
