I love this stuff!! Five months ago I was diagnosed with having AK's (Actinic Keratosis -- lesions that can develop into squamous cell carcinoma/ skin cancer). My dermatologist recommended I use Skinceuticals CE Ferulic every day as it prevents thymine dimers (DNA mutations associated with skin cancer) with a medium exfoliator for a few months before taking more drastic measures to eradicate the AK's. My skin has never been healthier!! The lesions (which were scaly, itchy, and red) are healed and the overall apperance of my skin has improved dramatically and is much more even. My pores are smaller and I have a healthy glow. The CE Ferulic also is packed with antioxidant protection to help fight free-radical damage and provides photoprotection.
HIGHLY recommended for those with AK's, uneven skin tone, large pores, or blemished or dull skin.

C E Ferulic's immediate effects will vary from person to person. Some people may experience immediate brightening, toning and improvement in their skin texture. Other's may not be able to tolerate it well and get inflammation. I recommend using it only once every two days if you're having issues with inflammation (it's what I do).

However, for EVERYBODY, this product will decelerate aging on the skin. It's so powerful and I look forward to 20 years from now when I look younger than all my friends. HAH!

There is one very important thing I do which no one else has mentioned on here. Since it takes me about a year to finish a bottle of C E Ferulic, I keep it refrigerated. When I order it, I make sure it is almost completely clear (if not then return it). Even after a year of being refigerated, it only turns light yellow. This means that the refrigeration is preventing oxidation of the product and allowing it to stay effective.

Supposedly, "yellow" product is still effective but I really think that the clearer the product is, the better. My dermatologist even recommended that I return a bottle to a vendor one time because he thought the product looked oxidized. When I received my replacement, it was crystal clear.

I have been using this serum for over a year and I am very happy with it. I usually order from Skinceuticals but I wanted to save some money. The serum I received from Amazon was old and deep yellow. When you buy this directly from Skinceuticles, it is completely transparent and not yellow. Yes, it is more expensive, but at least you get a new product.

I've been using this stuff for almost a year after someone in a dermatologist office recommended it. My skin is smoother and more even and I think it's reduced the appearance of a few deeper forehead wrinkles. It's a bit sticky and takes some getting used to (I put it on when my face is damp), but I will continue to use this every day because I believe it's working!

SkinCeuticals products are the best! I have been ranting to everyone I know about how great my skin looks after using their products for around 3 weeks. I also use the Phyto and love it. The C E Ferulic goes on like silk and perfectly complements any other serum, lotion or sunscreen. It makes my makeup go on much smoother, and it does not cause my sensitive skin to break out. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone . . . it's worth every penny!

Many times this new(?) product comes without the carton box, but only wrapped in plastic. You never no how old the product is.
why does Amazone allow this from a respected company or retailer. If I by something new on Amazon I want to be sure it is NEW.
Why doesn't it show an experation date?

I was advised by a cosmetologist that this was an excellent serum to use on my face in the a.m. before moisturizer. The smell takes getting used to (to me it smells like hotdogs!) but the product works great! If you can get past the smell, I'd absolutely recommend this product!!

The product I ordered was delivered to me without the packaging and wrapped in newspaper. I do not believe this vendor was selling an authentic product. I sent the product back. The vendor was quick to answer my questions and crediting my account.

After using this product for about 8 months, I have not seen any obvious topical benefit. I followed instructions carefully and used the recommended 4-5 drops and waited 10-15 minutes before applying my moisturizer/sunblock. The serum goes on smoothly. At first I believed it to be beneficial even if not obviously so
I took it along on an international trip thinking it would be ideal for airplane dehydration, fatigue and pollution. However, the trip confirmed that there was no benefit for me. On the contrary, the serum did not help prevent effects of pollution and sunshine. I finished the bottle and contemplated buying a second, but eventually decided against it given my disappointment, especially so after taking the price and Skinceuticals reputation into account. Still giving it 3 stars as I am convinced of Vitamin C & E benefits and say it is worth a try if one can afford it. As for me, I am looking for another Vit C & E product.

I'm a member of Makeup Alley, where this product is recommended constantly (by other users, not the company). I ordered with high hopes but instead I broke out and (though this may be unrelated) my skin, which is uneven in tone, got much more so while I used it.

Two caveats: I have very oily skin. And, I stopped using it after a month. I got tired of the breakouts. Also, this is very expensive. I got this from a highly recommended eBay buyer, which saved some money. But just be aware that skin is a highly individual thing and that what works for 99 other people may not work for you.
