I heavily rely on others' reviews, but have never posted before, but this time I decided to contribute.
I am a CE Ferulic fan and have used it for 2 years. I, too, once almost cried when I dropped a brand-new full-sized bottle, which I had bought at $135. When I bought the sample sizes, I thought the price was too good to be true. I decided to do an experiment.
I used one of the travel-sized bottles and decided to see whether the six of them would truly fill the original-sized one. They did NOT! In fact, I needed TWO MORE travel sized-bottles to fill the original bottle! I repeated the experiment several times, so I am pretty darn sure about this.
If you saved the original bottle and purchased the travel-sized, please repeat this experiment and post your comment.
Please note that the level of liquid rises when the dropper/lid is in and tightly closed, so make sure you use the correct volumes (in both cases, after you put in the dropper, the liquid should come up higher).
That said, I think travel sizes are handy and I would still buy them--I just don't like being mislead about the "deal" I am getting.

Good Product, December 3, 2008
This review is from: Skinceuticals CE / C E Ferulic NIB - 6*5ml Sample / Travel Size (Health and Beauty)
I am 48, with oily, light skin, min wrinkles but have had sun damage from just driving around in sunny Florida for the last 25 years. The worse ones were on my left cheek bone (drivers side - go figure!). I am not, nor have ever been much of a sun bather! Until 7 years ago I never used sunscreen on my face before leaving the house. Bad plan er no planning I should say. NOTE: USE SUN SCREEN, and start young. The last couple of years I have spent over $3500 on derma-abrasion & laser treatments (and professional skin bleach) for my dark spots/ sun damage on my face and had very little success. To add insult to injury I found that the laser treatments actually made the spots worse. Well . . . I read in the Allure magazine about some new break through's and some good products that they recommended. Skinceuticals C E, Ferulic was said to rejuvenate the skin and a new Vivite product called Vibrance Therapy was reported as worked better then products that had hydroquinone in it (which may cause cancer) to fade sun damage. Hydroquinone I understand just retards the hyper-pigmentation, and takes up to 3 months to get good results but the bad news is the spots can come back if you are in the sun a little. (Great for Florida! - Not!) The experts claimed the hyper-pigmentation was removed and more permanent with this new product. So what the heck, what's a little more $ thrown at my face - you only have one and everyone sees it! I started using Vibrance Therapy about 3 weeks ago, in the morning, when I got home from work & before bed time. I am very happy to say my spots have faded almost away! I feel for the first time in years I can leave home without tons of base make-up! It is such a good feeling! I also have been using Skinceuticals C E with Ferulic (acid) in the eve or at bed time, ROC Deep Wrinkle Overnight Repair treatment every night - and a weekly acid peel for added rejuvenation. The Vivite & Skinceuticals is a little expensive but way worth it. I bought The Vivite Vibrance Therapy & Skinceuticals C E, Ferulic at Amazon & the ROC at Costco Club. The best approach I believe is to use several good products and keep it up.

"Your skin looks great!", January 15, 2009
This review is from: Skinceuticals CE / C E Ferulic NIB - 6*5ml Sample / Travel Size (Health and Beauty)
Someone actually said that to me today, 57 year old me whose acne scars are coalescing with my wrinkles causing Arlen-Specterish sorts of pouches to appear at the corners of my mouth. "Great color," she continued. "You look healthy."
This three weeks after I began using Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. I knew that topical vitamin C had been shown in clinical trials to improve collagen production in aging skin. A little Internet research, however, suggested that mostly vitamin C serum does not penetrate the skin. On further investigation, I discovered a hint at TheDermblog.com that a fern-derived anti-oxidant known as ferulic helped topical C and E penetrate the skin to enhance collagen strength below. Collagen: the fibrous stuff that keeps your cheeks off your chin and your neck off your collar!
Easy to use, a fantastic bargain in these cute little sample bottles where 6 bottles at 5 ml. per bottle equals the big old 30 ml. size for $100 dollars less! A little goes a long way--one daily application apparently keeps on promoting that youthful glow for 24 hours. I love it; you will too!
