I liked it. It is very charming. It has a good vs evil plot, sports, a ho-down, secret agents, and an all out battle to 'skin a snake'. For a children's book it was well written, lots of humor, with tender moments between mother and sons. The author gave us an interesting world that we always wished existed when we shopped at a pet store.
