I was so excited to get this book, but it is very hit and miss. Some recipes make up well, but others are complete disasters. The book hasn't been proofed properly, with ingredients talked about in the instructions that aren't in the ingredients list and vice versa. There are also some very vague amounts listed - like one packet of vegan gelatine - this could be any size packet!! A good attempt, but less commercialism and more proofing would be advised.

I found this to be terribly misleading advertising and would like a refund but Amazon doesnt issue refunds for downloaded kindle items. If I could have seen the nutritional analysis before purchase, I never would have bought this.

As a heart patient, it is necessary to watch the sodium and fat content of everything I consume. For my purposes, these recipes are unhealthy : (1) The ratio of fat calories to total calories in most recipes exceeds the guidelines established by the American Heart Association (2) The amount of sodium in each dish is not disclosed within the nutritional analysis of any recipe

Extremely disappointed in the hype accompanying this book and the inability
to determine how useful the book is prior to purchase.

I have been using this book Mon-Fri for a month now, just to give it a really good chance before I dissed it. I loved skinny bitch in the kitch. But these recipes are absolutely flavorless. Being Mexican, I need flavor. And its just not acceptable for me to dread eating my leftovers.

I really hate cookbooks that do not have pictures of the recipes as prepared. Hardly any pictures in this book. BORING!

I got this book as a gift a few months ago at which point I decided to do some research into the author's background. In short, she is not someone to really be trusted. She is a graduate of Clayton College of Natural Health, a controversial, unaccredited distance learning school that was shut down in July 2010. Kim is NOT a licensed nutritionist in any state (which is required if one is to call themselves a "nutritionist" in the US) and while she holds a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition, it is NOT from a recognized/accredited US institution of higher learning. Therefore, I can't trust the veracity of anything this woman writes about.

The book itself is just okay - the recipes require lots of ingredients and aren't very tasty (I've tried about 12 recipes so far and all have been underwhelming in the taste department). Some might say my review is off base because this is just a cookbook. Yes, but she bases many of her recipes and the commentary woven throughout the cookbook on her so-called education.

Not impressed with Skinny Bitch. Think we Americans certainly do need to have better portion control and less carbs - but we need more protein than what this bitch advocates.

Great title---Who doesn't long to be called a "skinny bitch". I am all for a new diet and even going a little vegan-ish. But when I am told that I shouldn't eat meat and that it is cruel or horrible, well I disagree. I wanted some recipes, not lectures.

Apparently I am in the minority about this book--some of the recipes were fantastic. But I regret giving my money to anyone who tries to fforce their political views down my throat-LITERALLY.
