Skipping over the fact that the photos are very variable in quality, you still have to address the fact that this book is more of a guide to serving size than a guide to low-cal food. In reality, many of these recipes are not low cal. If you eat only a tablespoon or two of them, they would be low cal. But people who need diets (like myself) will rarely make a recipe and say "oh look, honey, this dip serves 38, let's invite the book club over!" No, we'll be sitting there with spoons and flat bread, completely defeating the purpose of a 100 calorie recipe. This book has some EXCELLENT ideas. In fact, the ideas are TOO excellent. Dieters will eat more than 100 calories and enjoy every morsel. Perhaps if the author scaled them back a bit (what dieter needs a dip that starts with 3 avocados?) and sized them so that a cookie recipe made 10 cookies and not 60, I'd feel more comfortable with this.

What I love best about these snacks is that they are healthy! I fix myself some and my toddler. We both get a high quality homemade snack, that tastes delicious!

I am a nutritionist and I always tell my clients to try to stick with 100 - 150 calorie snacks. This recipe book "Get Skinny Stay Skinny" contains great recipes that are easy and are in that calorie range. The snacks look quite delicious and at the same time will keep us looking skinny. I'm looking forward to trying all the recipes.

I love the recipes and the idea of having healthy snacks that are in the 100 calorie range (much cheaper and better than those expensive 100 calorie snacks you can buy)... what I did notice is that not all recipes included how many snacks were made with the recipe - so it would be really easy to overindulge by using an incorrect portion. That fact is the only reason I gave it a 4 star vs a 5 star rating.

Luckily, this is a recipe book for some great low calorie snacks because the author has several spelling and grammar errors. Once you are aware of this and get past it, the recipes appear easy to prepare and I can't wait to try a few. Recipes include avocado yogurt dip with cumin, feta and herb dip, and many more. I plan on using this book in conjunction with 101 Alkaline Foods to Alkalize Your Body's pH, Boost Your Health & Lose Fat Naturally.

I've got a high school reunion coming up and I could stand to shed a few pounds. This is a good little book on 100-150 calories recipes you can incorporate into your life. I liked the book, but wish it had more recipes.

This book was a steal for free. Lots of great snacks with low calories and even better for diabetics in the low carb range.
