Product Description

Protect your Investment

Daily use of your mobile device can cause unsightly scratches, dents and other unwanted damage. Within a few months, the screen will be hard to read; the device will decrease in resale value and be embarrassing to show other people.  Lower-quality disposable screen protectors seem like a temporary solution for keeping your device looking brand new; though they need constant replacements.

The Only Screen Protector You'll Need

With this problem in mind the founders of Skinomi set out to create a screen protector that's tough, reliable and long-lasting. Their solution was the Skinomi TechSkin.

Made of a tough urethane film that is designed to resist abrasion, the TechSkin provides tough, military-grade protection for your devices. The flexible screen protector is HD Clear and goes on invisible. A smooth texture and feel makes it easy to navigate your device as if there was nothing applied The flexible high-grade film is formulated to be "self-healing". Able to stretch, absorb, and even repair scratches and impact damage.

Lifetime Guarantee

We're so confident that you'll love the Skinomi TechSkin that every screen protector comes with a 100% Risk-Free Lifetime Replacement Warranty. If the Skinomi TechSkin wears off, gets scratched or gets damaged in any way, we will replace it. No questions asked.

So protect your prized possesions and never worry about having to replace that old, scratched up screen protector again.

This is my second Skinomi product and I'm very happy with them both. If you're patient and follow their instructions carefully when putting it on, you should have no trouble. There is a curing time and the small micro-bubbles will disappear over time. The first time took about a week...this time only about 48 hours.

I washed my hands and cleaned the phone with a lint free cloth (a 3M Microfiber Cloth works great Microfiber Electronics Cleaning Cloth). I then wet my fingers using the supplied spray bottle and removed the skin from the backing doing so from one of the bottom corners. It was easier for me to apply the top portion of the skin to the phone first and align it to the ear speaker so removing the skin from the backing by a bottom corner reduced my handling of the skin. Wet the skin thoroughly...getting liquid on the entire surface! I allowed the excess liquid to drip off for a few seconds. Once aligned, squeegee out the excess liquid carefully using the lint free cloth to catch any drips. I didn't like the "squeegee" that they provide (I felt it had too sharp an edge) so I used a piece of stiff cardboard (from the back of a notepad) which worked great. Squeegee away from the ear speaker, not towards. I used enough pressure to bend the cardboard a little but you shouldn't need to press too hard. Finally I gently wiped up any remaining moisture with the lint free cloth.

The instructions say to leave the phone off for 12-24 hours. The first time I put a Skinomi skin on, I had the phone on within an hour and had no problems. I was perhaps impatient but I also knew that I controlled the liquid well and none got inside the phone.

This screen protector is better than having nothing, however it is too soft and even a fingernail will make an indention in the protector. I made the mistake of having chapstick in a pocket with the phone and the bottom of the chapstick made trails of indentations all over the protector. Over time most of them have somewhat spread back out but it still shows signs of them. Several corners have now started to turn loose also. For the extra expense of this product you would expect it to be almost bulletproof. In my opinion it doesn't live up to its description or price. And the warranty that seems to be designed to provide a constant revenue stream for the company.

I've used the screen protectors that Verizon sells, and the one Best Buy sells (ZAGG I think it is). The Skinomi product is excellent. It goes on really easy (Droid X) and you almost can't even see it after it dries. The Verizon one causes some cloudyness and you never get them on without some sort of air bubble. The ZAGG product is comparable to Skinomi, but for 3 times the price.
Get this product, you won't regret it.

You get a spray solution and the film and an applicator. You apply this as you would window-film or vinyl decals to a car. The display will be very distorted for the first 12 hours as the film dries. Then it's crystal clear-- and very tough. Worth the price.

i've been using it for about 3 weeks now. at first i was a little worried - there were bubbles, but after about 2 days they cleared up and now it's really hard to tell that there's even a skin there.

I purchased this screen protector for my Droid 2. I received it on December 20th and installed it on my phone that night. The install went smoothly. The next day everything looked great but the screen was still a little tacky. This I expected from reading other stories. By the next day the screen looked great but I still thought the protector made the screen a little tacky for using Swype. Using Swype was manageable but not as smooth as I thought it should be. By the 24th of December I started having problems with this screen protector. By the picture provided, if you look at the upper left hand part of the picture you will notice a notch in the protector leaving a little point. This started to peel up so I took a razor blade and cut that little piece off. On the night of December 26th, I went to pull my phone out of my pocket and it felt as though it was stuck in my pocket. When I removed the phone completely out of my pocket I found out why it felt stuck. The screen protector had peeled back in half and was stuck to the inside of my pocket. So, this thing did not even last a week and I feel it would have probably lasted if it had fit the screen fully. I thought about trying to obtain a replacement but it is just not worth the aggravation to me.

From the reviews I anticipated to get a high quality screen protector--well I was wrong. The instillation was a breeze, and it dried up and looked great after a couple days however, this screen protector gets indentions and dimples in it way to easily. I made the mistake to have a pen in the same pocket as my phone and it left a few bruises and indentions on it. Also after a week or two it starts to get dimples on the edges "like an orange." Overall, I rather have a stronger screen protector that doesn't collect scratches, dimples, and indentions so easily. I would not recommend this product it's too weak.
