This is a great product and wish it was around for other phones I've had in the past. It protects all relevant surfaces, handles curves and non-smooth surfaces fine.

This would be five stars except for two issues:

- The lack of phone-specific directions. It's not impossible to figure out, but the directions are general for all phones, not the N97 so it takes a while to figure out which piece goes where.

- The thin strips that cover the mirrored-side edges are very difficult to apply and know exactly how to apply them (back to lack of instructions). These I didn't get right and they are starting to peel a bit. Not a huge deal as long as the warranty guarantee is fully honored. But, I haven't bothered since I'm inclined to remove since they don't protect what really needs to be protected on these: the front of the surface where the phone rests if laid on "stomach." The primary protection points are gong to be the screen/front and the back.

It is important to set aside 30-45 minutes to apply. Can be done faster, but if you rush, you'll be writing a bad review that is not really warranted since these are tricky phones and the product has a very specialized application technique many aren't used to.

Small residue and air bubbles will probably exist after application, but the packaging is right: they will disappear in a couple days. However, if you leave in larger air bubbles, you have to live with them so, again, take your time applying.

I'm not the easiest on phones and carry in a front or back pocket. I have ordered 3 types of N97 cases and they all add tremendous bulk (non pouch type cases) and/or are really not functionally productive. This is a much better route than cases currently available if you aren't looking to carry on a belt or throw into a purse (rather than a pocket in a purse with nothing in it).

After a couple weeks of pocket carrying, throwing the phone on the desk, etc., nothing has happened to it - no scratches, no tears, etc. Though, don't depend on this to drop. The only issue is that if you put in jean pockets that are "colored" inside (i.e. no white cloth - just denim), you will get nice blue tint to it. Fairly easily cleaned, but if you have a white phone, you'll notice some of the blue "dust" will cling to edges of this application.

Finally, I suspect the best combo is the case of your choice AND the TechSkin. You spent this much on a phone, you might want to add a few bucks to ensure it's not damaged for some time.

[Update: I've applied to another N97 and didn't take my own advice to take time and it ended up with some large air bubbles. That won't be covered by the warranty so need to order another. Also, these are "solid" when on the phone - meaning they stay in place and aren't noticeable - yet if you need to remove, the pieces come off easily w/out becoming a tearing/peeling game and leave no residue. Very nice if you need to replace or want to sell your phone in the future.]

This product seems to protect my phone very well. It is a little difficult to apply. You just have to take your time, and make sure there is no dirt. I got a little lint under one of the panels, but it's not that noticeable. I highly recommend this to protect your phone from scratches.

The skin is really good, as it covers all the areas and curves of N97. It also gives a good look to the phone and protects the screen from scratches that can come due to the touch screen usage.
The only trouble is to figure out which of the smaller parts go to which portion of the phone, and believe me it does take quite some time to figure it out correctly. You need to take some time and apply the skin properly.

Overall good product. It would really help if Skinomi starts providing the details for different parts for the specific phone areas, so that its easier and quicker to use it.

Good product but skill is necessary. Need to apply a second skin, since I screwed up the first one. No room for error when placing it on the screen, backing was not as bad. Wont do it again, unless I have someone else do it professionally for me.

It's everything they claimes... but it's not easy to install and if something goes wrong won't be worth finish it... coz it would look bad then

Great product. Plain and simple. It seemed a little complicated and dangerous for my device (You must spray each piece with a water-like solution before applying) but after I put the first piece on, it was a breeze. It's made from some sort of polymer they found on crashed flying saucers in Roswell and is pretty much impervious to damage; I can't seem to find anything that will scratch it. The only one draw back I can find with this system is that if you don't have a totally dust free room to apply it in, you're going to get little greyish specks under the skin... it's not enough to dissuade me from using one again, I'll just have to do it somewhere other than my bat cave. Rock on London. Keep it sleazy.

This probably is the best product out there for cellphone protection. Just simple turn phone off, and remove the battery. Use the liquid solution, on the product, and place it gently on the phone. The water bubble as long you follow the guide...

It is so clear on my phone, and I am happy to buy it. No scratches on the phone...

I've got mixed reviews of this case for my N97. The face skin is awesome and fits PERFECETLY! The sides fit well too, though I did have problems with the backside (battery cover) fitment. The shape of the phone provides great comfort but the curvature of the bottom of the skin is difficult to line up precisely. The edges eventually curled up on me and I had to remove it. The texture of the skin is slightly tacky which is good; I didn't get the "orange peel" effect that some complain about. This product if properly applied will keep you phone looking new.

It's a great product that does exactly what it's made for; Protection. The only thing it lacked, was the instructions for putting on the screens. It would be obvious for all the big pieces were to be placed but, for the other 11, it was a bit of a challenge. Their customer service was excellent since my original set came without a front piece and they shipped a whole new set without any hesitation. The lifetime warranty also is a huge help in replacing the set. Other than that, the product holds up really well and does it's job just right.

a star is loss cause it's kinda not easy to put on
