About the Author

Top celebrity esthetician Scott-Vincent Borba is a pioneer in the nutraceutical field and an ongoing beauty expert for multiple syndicated mediums including Extra! QVC, and E! News as well as The Rachel Ray Show and Good Day LA. Yet as a teen he suffered terrible cystic acne, a case of rosacea, and was overweight in all the wrong places. Ironically, despite his insecurities, he fell into a successful career as a product development and marketing specialist in the health and beauty industry. While helping care for his father who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, Borba discovered how nutraceuticals could help heal the body, as well as the skin. With the help of product specialists, he began researching how combining topical ingredients with ingestible ingredients could achieve radiant health--and skin--and his Borba line of products was born. Not only did his own skin transform, he has helped some of the top models and actors achieve flawless, glowing, and healtier skin. His BORBA line of nutraceutical products, supplements, and waters are now sold in stores throughout the country and on QVC and HSN. He has received coverage in People, US Weekly, OK!, Cosmopolitan, Elle, InStyle, Prevention, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Visit www.scottvincentborba.com.

I've always been passionate about skin care and learning the ins and outs of my own skin. Some days I'm concerned about breakouts, other days aging. This book has been extremely helpful in helping me navigate my way through my skin care issues and offers great, affordable DIY tips on what to do at home instead of paying for pricey treatments. Scott-Vincent is a true skin care genius - I love his Inside Out philosophy and delicious, skin healthy recipes too. A great read and an even better must have guide for anyone who cares about their skin.

This book is terrible! I suppose I have high expectations as an RN and avid reader of all things skincare and nutrition. When it comes to my health and especially my skin, I only want the best recommendations. This book covered some basics which was positive however many of the other suggestions were down-right awful. For example, mixing antioxidant juices with vodka. I wish it were the case that drinking hard alcohol would improve my health but that is not the case as it inhibits the natural detoxification pathways in the body thus it's not good for your skin, at all....not to mention the negative overall impact of alcohol on the liver. I'll stick with my red wine on occasion instead. He also recommends on one page to never use petroleum jelly (which I agree) and then later in the book suggest you apply petroleum over your eye moisturizer to lock in moisture. Huh? Are we suppose to believe that the eye moisturizer, which inevitably will assimilate into our skin, is somehow going to block the petroleum from touching our skin...um, no. Anyway, I could go on and on. While there are some good basic principals the bad far outweighs the good and I would NOT recommend this book.

I loved Borba skin care products, since the day I started using them. His philosophy of inside-out beauty seemed to be so unique, that he was ahead of his time. At first it seemed others would call his philosophy and recommendations a "gimmick" even though the idea of eating healthy, makes you healthy is so obvious. Forward years later it seems that everyone, including dermatologists are copying his advice and recommending his plans as their own. What Scott-Vincent Borba has written, essentially is that of someone who lives, breathes and practices skin care. His tips can help anyone find the beautiful skin they've got within - but have trouble getting to the surface. From his do it yourself at-home skin care treatments, to some of his delicious recipes, you're sure to find real value in producing or maintaining your beautiful skin. While some of the recipes aren't quite my taste there are so many dietary suggestions, you won't be left without. I highly recommend this book and look forward to his next!

I have had problems with acne all my life. After using all methods of acne treatments including, Murad, Pro Activ and Neutorgena of which none worked, I had come to a conclusion that I will have to live with this pimple face all my life.
My first experience with Borba products is when I was in the Sephora store in Beverly Hills. I decided to try yet another acne regime that I thought would bomb but at least try it since it was an ingestible drink in the coolest bottle ever called Borba Skin Balance Water in Pomegranite for acne prone skin. I bought a case since it was absolutely delicious. I knew that if it didn't work for my skin,I would at least enjoy the flavor of the drink. In less than two weeks, I noticed that my acne was starting to clear up. I could not believe it. I went back and purchased more drinks and also purchased his skin care line for acne prone skin. Well, I must admit that as of today I have not had any cystic breakouts since. I then learned about Scott Vincents Book and had to purchase it right away. Knowing that his products work.. I am a firm believer that anything said in his book is true to word.. Not only that but I think he is the most handsome man on the plant. I will never use anything else but Borba Products and now I have his book on the true secrets to perfect skin. You are the best Scott Vincent.

I purchased this book after I recently started using Borba products. I have to say that the beautiful skin from the inside out concept makes so much sense. This book is so informative. I have learned so much! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a new approach to skincare! Amazing!!

This book makes sense for you skin and body. They are not trying to sell a product line, but rather, trying to make skincare make sense to common people who are confused by the vast array of products available. There are many things you can do to balance the synergy between inside and outside.
