4.0 out of 5 stars KYOKO'S (not) IN TROUBLE!!!, November 6, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Skip Beat!, Vol. 9 (Paperback)
Moko, Kyoko's first best friend, has just lost her job (and maybe even her career) for...

THROWING HER CO-STAR???

Why? How? Is it because of her family? Her incredibly huge, poverty-stricken, leech-like family?

What can anyone do about the boy's anger and desire for revenge?

And what will Kyoko do when he threatens to get HER fired too?

(OOOOOOooooooohhhh little demons....? Let's play!)

***************************

Mio Hongo is a shy, plain girl with not much sex appeal.

She was betrayed, hurt, and scarred by someone she loved.

Now she lives just for revenge.

Sound like anyone YOU know?

Director Ogata thinks so too, and Kyoko would indeed be the perfect villainess for his remake of Tsukigomori ("Cloudy Moon"), the famous, most talked about drama from twenty years ago. Certainly, it would make her career lift off like a rocket. She might get to equal footing with her hated enemy Sho Fuwa is just one step! And director Ogata asked for HER, specifically! WOW! However, there's just one problem:

She doesn't want to do it.

It's not just that she doesn't want to play the "Evil Queen" to someone ELSE'S "Snow White", it's that the leading man is none other than Ren Tsuruga -- the actor she calls "Satan", and "Demon Lord", the man who seemingly delights in tormenting and terrifying her. The man who, when she admitted that she HAD worked on her arch-enemy's Sho Fuwa's music video -- though it wasn't for revenge! No really! Not kidding! -- scared her to death with his contempt. And she would have to work with him! Daily! For hours at a time! The man who...

...may not be as bad as all that?

...may be starting to like her, just a little bit?

Naaaaaaaahh. No way, right?
