5.0 out of 5 stars BEST Diaper Bag I've ever owned
I should be a diaper bag tester. I've owned the Coach Diaper Bag, Land's End new "Do it all" diaper bag that opens like a Dr's bag, the "Vivian Pickle" designer bag, Baby Innovations Diaper bag, and so on. Too many to count! The Dash is by far the best.
-So stylish
-Flap to close the top- making it more user friendly than the other skip hop bags...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great, but...
I love the "non-baby" colors of this bag. After two other babies, I was ready for a bag without Pooh, bunnies and pastels. The brown & pink were great colors that went with everything I was wearing (as opposed to all the other bags that just coordinated with the baby!)
The ONLY draw back that I've found is that there isn't much "Mommy Space" in this bag. There...

-So stylish
-Flap to close the top- making it more user friendly than the other skip hop bags
-attaches easily to any stroller (Maclaren!) with built in snaps
-over the shoulder stap is long enough to drap over handles of any stoller and then just pick up and use
-zipper pocket is great for lipstick, check book, keys, cell phone, pens...
-interior pockets are great for diapers, wipes, bottles, formula and so on
-plenty of room for at least 2 changes of clothes
-back pocket for the changing pad (with the cool logo so it looks cute hanging out) also fits my day planner which I am never without and need accessible always~ This was very important to me.
-4 outside pockets besides the outside changing pad pocket. SO much room!
-high quality fabric... isn't showing wear with a ton of use

Great all around bag for daily trips or weekends. VERY FUNCTIONAL.

Issues with other bags:

Coach Bag- wasn't functional. Felt like I was carrying a small suitcase around when I had the same amount of stuff with me as I have in this one

Land's End- HAD to be shoulder carried. The straps were not long enough to use with the stroller. The Dr's bag function was great but made it HEAVY. Might be good for day care when you need to load it but not carry it all day.

Viv Pickle- strap was too thin for the size of the bag. Interior was too dark and stuff felt hidden. No zipper pocket inside or out. No place for cell phone or parent items.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love this bag!, May 6, 2007

This review is from: Skip Hop Dash - Canvas-Charcoal (Baby Product)
I did a lot of research on diaper bags when I was pregnant, and when I found the Skip Hop Dash, I knew I could stop looking! It was everything I wanted - messenger bag, lots of pockets, perfect size, and a wide range of color choices. Because my husband and I would both be carrying the bag, we decided to get the Charcoal (if I had been getting it just for myself, I would have had a harder time choosing between the charcoal and the ice blue, but I think Charcoal was the better choice because it doesn't show dirt!).

We have been using the bag for 5 weeks now and I absolutely love it. There is honestly nothing I have found about the bag that I would change. It's perfect for us!

There are two small front pockets that don't hold much and certainly aren't secure enough to hold a wallet or cell phone. The only other space is a zipper pocket inside the bag, which is just a pain to get to when you need something quick.
Overall, it's not a bad bag, but I would look for another small bag for shopping or quick trips... this is definitely an all day out, only baby stuff sort of bag.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for daytrips, October 7, 2007

I ordered the bag after much looking around and I am overall happy with the purchase. The bag is of good quality and very well made. Here is what I am able to fit in it.
In the 2 inside (back) pockets: 3 diapers, a small plastic bag dispenser and a small box of wipes.
In the 2 side pockets (these are meant for bottles): 1 nursing apron and 1 burping cloth.
In the main pocket: A change of clothes, a jacket and a swaddling blanket. I roll these items to keep the bag organized and the items easily accessible and there is some space left. I would have liked to have been able to carry a small blanket but it does not fit.
In the front zippered pocket (this pocket is not very deep, which in a way is good as you don't have to dig things out of it): My wallet, digital camera, car keys, a small pack of tissues, a pack of gum etc...)
In the front velcro pocket: A pair of socks, mittens... This pocket is not very useful at all as it is located just below the front zippered pocket and when that one is in use, this one becomes very cumbersome to access.
In the 2 outside side pockets: A bottle of water and a toy.
In the 2 outside front pockets: My cell phone in one pocket and miscellaneous items in the other pocket.
Being able to hang the bag off the stroller is nice as everything in the bag is within reach. Loosing track of the regular strap is easy though when loading and unloading a child in and out of the stroller.

I have had this bag for over 2 years and it is still in great shape. I used it with my son and now with my newborn daughter. It is perfect for a day out, and I love that there are separate straps that attach to the stroller. You don't have to use the separate straps on the stroller, my husband just shortens the straps and places the bag over the stroller handle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Swanky, and pretty durn functional, August 2, 2007

I bought this bag for its looks and it hasn't disappointed. Looks great on our Baby Trends stroller and on my shoulder. I get unsolicited compliments so it's not just me. I think it's unisex, my husband disagrees (says it's external pockets are puffy and therefore feminine), but he carries it anyway and doesn't seem to feel awkward.

It has many many pockets which is a pro and also a con - almost too many for my addled brain. I carry: 3 diapers, 6 ziplock bags, 10 indiv wrapped wipes, 1 or 2 spare onesies, a shawl for breastfeeding, a swaddling blanket, a urpcloth my wallet, cell phone, keys, lanolin and sometimes a bottle and formula, and a pacifier in the skiphop pacifier tote attached to the strap.

My one complaint - my cell phone, and especially my keys, get lost in the deep external pockets. There's a shallow zippered pocket presumably meant for things like these but it's buried under the flap and behind a zipper - and this means that these items meant for ready access simply aren't.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stylish, but not as durable as we had expected, June 4, 2008
This review is from: Skip Hop Dash - Canvas-Charcoal (Baby Product)
I really hate cheapo bags that start falling apart less than a year after you buy them. What I hate even more are really expensive bags that start falling apart less than a year after you buy them.

We were really excited to receive a Dash diaper bag last fall as a new baby gift. We love the versatility that it gives us, easily going from the stroller to the shoulder. I also appreciate all the pockets that help keep us organized. Additionally, it looks great as a shoulder tote and stroller tote.

However, I have to say that I'm disappointed in the quality of the bag we received. In February, after only three months of use, the shuttle clip insert on the shoulder strap broke. As I pulled on the shoulder strap, the plastic insert flew up and hit me in the forehead so hard that it drew a little blood. Not a month after that, the seam attaching the cover flap to the body of the bag started to come apart.

Our Dash is barely 6 months old, and I'm now looking for a bag that is comparably priced but more durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect diaper bag, June 8, 2007

Just enough space to hold the essentials! Perfect size pockets.....things are easy to get to and easy to find. It can be a little difficult to get the changing pad in and out of the back pocket when the bag is full, but otherwise the best diaper bag I have had (and I've had quite a few!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bag, May 23, 2007
This review is from: Skip Hop Dash - Canvas-Charcoal (Baby Product)
I too looked long and hard to find the perfect bag to carry and decided on this one. I really love this bag. The mommy section in shallower than the rest of the bag so you don't need to go digging around for keys and phone-genius!
Also had a hard time choosing color, but this doesn't show dirt and is great for daddy, too.

Really great product.
