5.0 out of 5 stars very functional and sturdy
I have been using this bottle drying unit for several months for my twins and I really like the way the racks turn separately so I can get at every angle. The bottles, nipples and rings fit onto the various prongs well. It drains well and cleans up well...no standing water like some next-to-the-sink drying racks. It is one of my favorite baby products and recommend it...

2.0 out of 5 stars Design is there, but not very practical
I bought one the Marine rack for myself and the white for my sister. We both had the same problem. Water pools in the bottom layer and molds. Yes, I empty out the water that accumulates throughout the day, but some water stays there. We both have "retired" this bottle rack to our cabinets.

The design is beautiful and perfect for a modern kitchen. I now have The First Years drying rack and while it clashes with overall "tone" of the house, it is more practical. Luckily, I breastfeed so I do not have to use the rack too often except to dry the pump parts.

I think this product fills a void in the market (come on designers... give us some non-baby looking modern products), however mold/mildew is not worth it to me.

It is one of my favorite baby products and recommend it to my soon-to-be mommy friends. I do not use the brush as I have found others that fit the bottles better so I can't speak to the durablilty of it.

it is very sturdy but the brush broke after only 3 weeks. i have searched the web and can't find anywhere to buy a replacement brush for this item so the whole thing doesn't look quite as good with a brush that doesn't match.

5.0 out of 5 stars Skip Hop Splash, February 16, 2009

This product is great if you use Born free glass bottles (those are the ones I use). It is stylish and very very functional. I have read that this product is too small for some individuals and I would agree if you are exclusively bottle feeding. However if you are like me and occasionally bottle feed your little one then this product is perfect because it looks great on your countertop and it easily holds 3 glass bottles and medela electric breast pump shields/valves/etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT that great, and NOT for WIDE-NECK bottles! (2 stars!!), September 30, 2008

NOT WORTH THE MONEY, AND I ONLY GIVE IT TWO STARS, BUT SINCE I EDITED MY REVIEW, IT WON'T LET ME CHANGE THE NUMBER OF STARS I GAVE IT (I first reviewed it when I was using smaller glass bottles with not as many parts). Yes, it's better for glass bottles than the collapsible ones, but it's NOT at all good for BORN FREE (or any other wide neck bottles) bottles because you can only fit them on every other upright (they're too wide to go right next to each other), and there's no room for all of the other venting pieces that come with Born Free bottles. The two bottom pieces are too small to hold much, and things fall off of them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Functional and stylish, December 24, 2007

I love Skip Hop products, this one most especially. My little boy eats very frequently, so I end up washing bottles every other feeding. The prongs are nicely separated and sturdy, that even the wide neck bottles are easy to hang and quick to dry. Very low maintenance, doesn't require much cleaning. After taking out the dry bottles, just run hot water and flip the Splash over to remove any excess drips. Some reviews mentioned that the brush broke quickly but the one that came with mine has held up pretty well after many uses for almost 5 months now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touch of whimsy makes the difference, March 22, 2008

This review is from: Skip Hop Splash - White (Baby Product)
I've heard a saying attributed to the long-dead British interior designer William Morris -- "Never have anything in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." Whoever said it, I always add "and preferably both" to the end of that quote. This product is the type of thing everyone with a baby needs, but someone has put in a little effort to transform what could have been strictly utilitarian into a visual delight. Gives a little lift to a mundane and sadly frequent chore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bottle rack!, February 12, 2008

This rack is perfect for the family who doesn't rely on bottle-feeding alone. My son gets 2-3 bottles a day, and it's just the right size to dry those bottles plus pump accessories. I pour any accumulated water out of the bottom rack every day and have seen no signs of mold or standing water. The different angles and sizes allow for flexibility in what you dry, and this takes up much less space than other racks or a dishtowel on the counter. It looks cool, but most importantly, it works!

2.0 out of 5 stars Plastic cracks easily, July 24, 2009
By
This review is from: Skip Hop Splash (Baby Product)
Water does pool, as other reviewers note, but my bigger problem is how quickly the plastic degrades. I've used this for about a year, and every few times when I clean it another piece of the center structure (where the sections screw together) cracks and breaks off. I don't think I'm particularly hard on this, and like very much the way it looks. But now the bottom plate has cracked in the middle. I sure hoped I'd be able to get through sippy cups and into commuter mugs, but I guess not!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good looking next to the sink, March 27, 2007
By
This product works well with my Dr Brown's bottles. There are holes in it that make it easy to stand up the inner parts of the bottles. Much better looking than a lot of bottle drying racks. I use a Sassy rubber bristled bottle brush so that it won't scratch the bottles, though. The Sassy color totally coordinates perfectly.
