this item works great the big thing is that you have to keep the disc wet when it is trying to clean off scratches so make sure to use the spray that comes with it i use about 2 squirsts on each disc if it sounds like it is boging down to much for you add another spray then after useing the rejuvinating spray letting the disc go around two revolutions one good spray with the dick cleaner is all i need i wipe it down with the towl that they give you with it and i have a cd that barly skips when befor it had a good amound of damage to it

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
For anyone looking for an easy to use and effective repair tool, this is it. its so simple and easy to use it practically fixes disk scratches by itself. It really saved my day repairing an expensive game that was damaged by my xbox 360. It also works on audio cds and standard dvds as well.

I own both a manual and now auto disc repair system, I can honestly say I havent have a bad experience with these as long as you use the right amount of repair fluid...not too much..not too little... it has repaired countless discs already that I have tried using every other orm and robably damadged them more than if I wouldve just waited to use the Skip Dr! I will be buying more and several of the different discs

1.0 out of 5 stars good idea terrible design April 10, 2014

This disk cleaner, although a good idea, will not cure most deep disk scratches, and barely deals with light scratches. Also, because of the power requirements you will need to power it with an external power source. As well, after only using this to clean mild scratches off of 4 disks the plastic gearing inside the device stripped out, rendering it useless. You would be better off with some oil and a piece of 4k grit sandpaper than using this product. Save your money and take it to a video store, they can restore it with a professional machine for $5. Very disappointed, will never buy a product like this again. What a waste of money!

1.0 out of 5 stars Skipdr Xbox cleans great, Repairs nothing!! August 28, 2012

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
A pet peeve I have developed is product reviews that are just complaints about the seller, the shipping or a defective item (which can be returned). It is only when we have what we ordered in its correct working order that we can evaluate it for what it should be against what we are told it is.

This thing just sux.

Short Bus version:
1) Does not have the power with batteries
2) Charger is another $20+ bucks, making it a $50+ system that does not work
3) Employes a single cleaning surface system to do ALL phases from buffing to removing scratches with the liquids determining whether it is cleaning or buffing (absurd)
4) The micro-fine 1/4 inch wide wheel will not last many cycles (physically impossible)
5) While a Skipdr might be great for polishing up discs or dvd's and can remove light scratches (not one deep enought to matter) or oxidation film (that would keep it from working) or lots of little scratches (that would affect reading as well) for makeing an Xbox game that is unreadable readble just stay clear.
6) Other reviews talk about removing scratches, they are missleading (big surprise).

The skinny:
-It DOES NOT come with a charger and while that is stated in the ad, there is no excuse for it at 26.00+.
-It DOES NOT operate worth a darn with batteries. This thing pulls 1amp and you will not get the power from batteries after about 2 or 3 cycles.
-It DOES NOT clean the disc period. I have had to learn about people that are somehow connected to products and thus leave bogus reviews. for 26.

Skip Dr. Repair - Xbox
Product arrived a few days late but in good condition. I had 1 Xbox game that had deep circular scratches. I ran the disc thru 1 cycle on the SkipDR and the game worked flawlessly. There are still surface scratches on the game but it works with no problems - product has paid for itself because I do not have to replace the game!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fixes discs but no miracle worker August 24, 2013
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this to try and repair some of my son's games. I cleaned the discs before repairing them, and followed the directions for repairing them to the letter. Ghost Recon still doesn't work, Transformers works for a while then stops, but Halo and Call of Duty work like new. I'm going to run Transformers through again and hope for the best, and probably trash GR. Overall, I'd say Skip Dr is a pretty good investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scared At First but Great Outcome :) February 26, 2012
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this from Gamestop today over Call of Duty ELITE because I don't play much MW3 and I miss my old WAW. So, I bought it and came home and decided to try it out on my WAW disk as that is the ONLY reason I bought it, I mean Its good to have but WAW is the only reason I bought it then and there. I came home read the instructions and tried it, I used the Disk Repair Solution by Spraying on the Liquid it gives you, Then I put it in the machine and let it do 2 spins like it says then I buffed it out and tried the disk. It didnt work! I got so mad and nervous, I could be playing extra COD MW3 maps and should have just bought a new WAW! Im an idiot, so I calmed down and tried it again. I did it to the letter on the instructions, and buffed it out a little extra hard. THEN I used the cleaning part of the kit, sprayed on the cleaning solution and then using the microfiber cloth I cleaned it. Well needless to say im installing COD WAW to my harddrive and it is at 68%. From going completely unreadable to even worse then to now being able to install it to my hard drive. Im a very happy camper.

Now its 71% Woot, This is amazing just make sure you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER and make sure you use the CLEANING PART of the Kit AFTER You use the repair part. This is a great product just make sure you know what your doing and understand this is for XBOX GAMES only, not regular Disks or PS3 disks, they have machines specifically for those types of disks! Either way, 5 stars!
