I was hesitant to buy a running skirt because I knew I wanted shorts underneath. The first one I bought from a different company was too thick and the shorts didn't stay in place. A fellow runner suggested Skirt Sports and while they are pricey, they are worth every penny! I don't like wearing regular bike shorts to run and other running shorts chafe after a few miles. This is the perfect combination to hide and protect my thighs at the same time. The skirt isn't heavy and the shorts have tiny air holes in them to keep you cool. Perfect for any run. I've used it for 3-18 miles and it's perfect no matter the distance. I am about to buy my second one for an upcoming marathon.

I was nervous that the legs would ride up and make for an uncomfortable run, where I had to continually tug the shorts down. Didn't happen - even on a 10 mile run. The shorts stay exactly where they're supposed to. I love, love, love the 2 pockets on the shorts and the built-in hole for my ipod cord allows me to put my ipod in one of the pockets instead of having to wear an armband.
I highly recommend this skirt.

i have run 3 marathons and am training for my 4th half marathon...I am not a petite runner. I am 5'9", 189 pounds. I normally wear a size 10 pants...8 top...in the CWX running tights i'm a medium....I have a curvy shape...and a booty and thighs....so I had high hopes for this skirt. Alas, it is not for my body type. The skirt sits low on the waist...I don't feel comfortable that way, especially since I run with a waist-hydration-pack. The skirt kept creeping up to my natural waist. if I could cinch it with a drawstring, i think i could wear it...but there is no drawstring. So if you're hippy with a small waist, you may have issues. Also, i wasn't a big fan of the material the shorts are made of. I am used to running in CWX tights...which have a smooth feel...and these shorts were slightly irritating. They did stay in place though. I purchased a size large based on skirt sports sizing...but i think i could have gotten a medium...still, the waist wouldn't have worked for me without a drawstring. Despite all that, the skirt is comfy and cute and flattering, but i cannot run in it...i will use it to cross-train, for tennis, for errands. Fortunately i bought a sale priced skirt to see if i liked it...so i'm not out the full $65. I am interested in trying their Skirt Sports Women's Ice Queen Ultra Skirt which DOES include a drawstring waist and adjustable pant length. Or perhaps their Adventure Girl skirt....Skirt Sports Women's Adventure Girl Skirt which also has a drawstring waist. In the meantime, i'll continue running in CWX tights and a running skirt with the shorts cut out of them over the CWX tights. CW-X Women's CW-X 3/4 Stabilyx Tight

In Nov, I purchased a blue Girl Ultra Skirt. I loved it! It fit great, felt great, stayed in place while I ran, etc. So I decided to order another color a couple of months later, and I ordered a pink one (same size). When I received the pink one and tried it on, it did not feel the same at all. The spandex were too tight, the waist slide down when I ran, and the fabric felt itchy. I loved the first one so much that I figured I'd wear it a few times and wash it a few times to see if that got it fitting the same as the blue one. No luck.
After being frustrated that I was now stuck with a skirt that does not fit well, I checked the tag to see what could be different. Turns out, the pink one was made in Taiwan, and the blue one was made in Thailand. I'm very disappointed to see that Skirt Sports cannot seem to get the same product and the same size regardless of which factory is making it. I would suggest trying these on as soon as you get it, and return it right away if it doesn't fit well. Don't make the mistake I did with trying to see if the fit would get better!

I just finished running 8 miles in this skort and it was great! I am 5 ft. and about 110 lbs. with an athletic build through the thighs, hips, and rear. I ordered a small and it fit perfectly through those areas. The short did not ride up on the legs and there was no chaffing. The skort is comfortable and cool. I ordered the skort in pink crush. Though I love the color, it does not hide sweat. After my 8 miles in humid, hot Missouri it looked like I had wet myself, front and back. I will defintely be ordering another one in black and save the pink skort for cooler days.

I am 5'1'', 130# with runners thighs that touch when standing. I ordered the medium based on others reviews, and was very happy with the initial fit and look while on. The pockets on the inner liner shorts are a nice idea. I wore it for a 3 mile run this morning and found that the liner shorts do ride up quite badly. If I wore this for a longer run, I would definitely have chafing issues due to where the liners sit once they have stopped creeping. I wore it around the house to do yardwork afterward, and they didn't ride up as much. I'll keep it because drifit stuff is nice to wear for outdoor work, but it won't be used for running.

Overall disappointed based on what great things I have heard about skirt sports items from some of my running buddies.

I really wanted to love this skirt. The compression shorts are are very tight and do stay in place. Most chub rub spots are on the inner thigh. Why did they make these shorts with a bulky seem running along the inner thigh? Perhaps an alternative sewing pattern where the seem runs down the front and back of the leg, vs. the inner thigh? I was very disappointed to have uncomfortable rubbing during my run. It was two chunks of fabric rubbing on each leg with every step. My other shorts ride up, but no bulky sewing to chew up my legs. I'm still searching for the perfect running shorts/skirt. This is not it.

I am short and curvy (5'2" 165 lbs). I was worried when I purchased the large based on other reviews that it would be too big, but I find it to fit just perfect! I'm kind of picky when it comes to running shorts as I have thick thighs and they are heavily scarred from a bad car accident several years ago. This skirt is long eough to cover my scars and super cute. The shorts stay in place and the pockets are great. They are tight enough that I can put my android smart phone (HTC Sensation) in the pocket for a run and I don't feel like it is going to fall out. The headphone cord hole is in a perfect place to run your headphone up your back, but if you have an angled plug on your headphones I find that hard to get in the hole sometimes. Even running in the wind I feel like there is adequate coverage for my rear. I will buy another one because it is so cute and fits so well.

I love the material. The compression shorts are great and don't ride up. But for my tastes, the skirt is too long and loose. I have long legs, and this skirt comes to mid-thigh. I don't wear shorts that long when I run, and I don't want a skirt that long, either. If you prefer a longer skirt, it's great, but it's just not for me.

I use this as a running skirt because I'm not a fan of running shorts. I find the attached underwear in running shorts to be very uncomfortable. The skirt is a decent length that covers enough without being dowdy or restricting movement. The white skirt/shorts are thick enough to cover your neutral to light colored underwear (dark colors would show through the shorts) and it's cute to boot. My fashion conscious teenage daughters have also given this skirt two thumbs up, which is high praise indeed. I'm 5'9" and 145 lbs and the medium is a terrific fit.
