5.0 out of 5 stars Totally awesome
I bought a 4-pack of these 18 months ago. 1 disappeared within a couple months, 1 I use to clean the counter, and I'm on the second one for washing dishes. Reasons I hope that they never stop making these:
- Unsmelly. I don't leave it always wet in the sink, but it does spend some time like that, and I only replaced the one I use for washing dishes because it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Product
Based on all the great reviews here, I bought these clothes. Now, I feel like I've been sucker punched by a snake oil salesman. Not only do I not like them, I think they are truly awful. Sponge clothes have been around for a long time, but these are smaller and thinner than the ones I remember. The only one I used was so small and paper thin, it curled up like a...

I bought a 4-pack of these 18 months ago. 1 disappeared within a couple months, 1 I use to clean the counter, and I'm on the second one for washing dishes. Reasons I hope that they never stop making these:
- Unsmelly. I don't leave it always wet in the sink, but it does spend some time like that, and I only replaced the one I use for washing dishes because it started to get a little shabby, thanks to scrubbing of knives and such. I used to replace sponges pretty frequently because they got to smelling naaaasty, and who wants that to be the last thing that touches their dishes before they go back in the cupboard?
- Resilient. I'm kind of amazed that these things just keep going like they don't have a care in the world. Feeling them, you wouldn't ever think that they would tear or come apart.
- Absorbant. Soak up tons of water from wherever I've spilled it. I'd say one of these is equivalent to about five paper towels in absorbency.
- CHEAP. I have a guilty addiction to Viva paper towels, which feel like they're made from the downy underfeathers of baby angels' wings. I absolutely still use paper towels for things where disposability is sorta required, like squashing a bug, seasoning a cast-iron pan, or sitting under fresh bacon. (Ok, now I want bacon.) But we use far less of them.
- Versatile. One for the dishes, one for the counter, one for messier dusting and cleaning around the house; and color-coded so I can keep them straight.
- Washable. I tried putting them in the dishwasher, which didn't do much. Haven't needed to try the washing machine yet.
- Biodegradable. Lord knows the plastics that go into sponges; I love that I don't have to think about that with these.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect, perfect, perfect!, March 11, 2010

This review is from: Skoy Eco-friendly Cleaning Cloth (4-pack) (Kitchen)
My husband is addicted to paper towels and we actually run a fairly environmentally-friendly household, but paper towels (and Pampers) have been our last vices. We use cloth napkins, dish towels and old rags for most jobs but some things just call out for a paper towel. We tried recycled paper-paper towels and they were lousy so we switched back to Bounty. We have been able to cut our usage dramatically; I warned my husband that when the last roll of our mega pack was gone, that was it. We have been using these for a week or so and they are perfect: environmentally friendly on every level, NOT made in China and extremely durable. They wash in the washing machine very well. YOu can also microwave them but I haven't tried that. I just throw them in a load with rags, dust cloths, etc. on a hot water cycle.
These are definitely priced very reasonably for such a great product and will ultimately save you a ton of money in paper towels.

I've been using skoy cloths for about a year now. While they haven't entirely replaced paper towels in my house, I think I've cut my paper towel use by about 70%. They work better than paper towels for most applications. I wash them in the washing machine in hot water, but you can also sterilize them in the microwave, if you choose. I keep about 20 of them so that I always have some clean ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT., August 25, 2011

i hate the cleaning supply isles at supermarkets and i hate housework. When i buy something for cleaning, i want it to be super efficient so i am done with the cleaning as quickly as possible and so i dont have to look for something else. this type of cloths has always been a must-have for me to clean the kitchen counters because they are thick and absorbent, small and practical. they are very easy to find in other countries, but not in the USA, so i had to ask friends to get me some from abroad. i had found some at a Jewel Osco, but the problem with them is that after 4-5 days, they start to rot and have those big horrible black stains covering them. So each would last a bit more than a week, and that was it. i finally found those here, and i was HOPING they would be as "thick" (1/5th") as the ones i need. and they were. Plus the colors are very nice and fresh. No stains, they dry quickly, and they are 2-3" bigger than my hand. they are JUST PERFECT.
they would work for all types of cleaning actually.

someone wrote they "curl up" when they dry. i lay mine on the counter so it curls up a little bit but nothing bad. but i dont see a problem with that. you need to wet it anyway to use it. i am glad i dont have to use those big extra thin cloths that i need to fold and re-fold to be able to use them. they dont even absorb well, and given their size, where are you going to hang them so they can dry and dont start smelling?

can you imagine how many times a day you need to wipe the kitchen counters? i do this all the time for so many reasons, so i need something sturdy. and those are exactly like the ones i had in europe.

for all you picky ladies, dont skip this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this so much that I gave some to others., August 15, 2011

These Cleaning Cloths really work like a paper towel and they dry quickly for more uses that day. I love them so much that I sent them out to my mother, cousin and best friend. They wash well in the washer and I put them in the dryer too. I had a pack of one color previously and the multiple color pack is good when I want to look at something pretty and have a change in the kitchen every once in a while. LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Skoy Cleaning Cloths are great!, December 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Every year I pick an inexpensive present and send a bunch to the family Christmas gathering back east. This year it was packages of Skoy Cloths after discovering them for myself, and boy, were they a hit! It's so seldom you find a product that does what it says it will, but Skoy Cloths do. We have them in the kitchen and both bathrooms, and they are wonderful for wiping up splashes and spills, much more efficient than either cloth or paper towels. They go in the wash with the rest of the towels and rags, and last a lonnnnngggg time. They have really cut down on our use of paper towels. The family thinks I'm a genius.

We purchased this 4-pack to reduce our paper towel use and it's done exactly that.

These clothes feel like small sponges (as such, they dry up into that stiff dry sponge texture as well but are easily re-softened) and work just as you'd expect a sponge to. They're very pleasant to work with.

Only drawback is that they aren't a bit larger (closer to paper towel sized!

5.0 out of 5 stars They work!, March 9, 2010
This review is from: Skoy Eco-friendly Cleaning Cloth (4-pack) (Kitchen)
A friend gave us one of these (only one) and we've used it for all manner of kitchen cleanup activities for several months now. Nuke it every now and then and it comes right back. Ours is stained a little bit, but it keeps on ticking. We just ordered four more, but I'm guessing that those will last the year. Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing more to add to other reviews., September 9, 2011
It's all been said. Excellent wicking. Washes well in the laundry. No lint. Throw out those cloth vectors of disease (washcloths). Wait that's not earth-friendly, give them away!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for draining tofu, January 4, 2011
I bought these to replace paper towels for household cleaning, but decided to try them for draining tofu. These are the perfect size for a 1 lb. block of tofu cut in half (thickness of tofu). I would ordinarily use loads of paper towels and have to change them every few minutes until the tofu is dry enough to cook on a dry stick-proof pan. With Skoy cloths I only need 2 cloths - one above and below the cut tofu - and then flip them over occasionally while draining. Of course I have to wash them in-between use, but it's worth it to save paper towels and to eliminate the soggy mess from draining tofu..

I'll buy more Skoy cloths for cleaning.
