This item is functional, but has limited applications. The item that I used it on was an old Garmin GPS unit that is heavy and bulky, with a power cord in the back. This item could not hold the weight if it moved (like in a moving car or boat) and blocked the back power cord receptacle. After several attempts to snug the plastic holders, one broke. It is now unusable. On lighter devices, it probably works great. Avoid heavy devices.
