Craftsmanship - The circumference of the umbrella, to my pleasant surprise, was much larger than I expected. The "auto-pop up" feature worked perfectly. It was easy to close as well. The metal "skeleton" was installed properly, all parts were straight, and no pieces appeared to be problematic. The handle is the part that I would give a lower rating to. It is made from noticeably cheap plastic.
Print and Color - The print is exactly as shown on the website. The inside is a solid, slightly shimmery silver (it's not gaudy).
Based on how it works and appears right now, I would guess that this is a one or two season umbrella only. But for the price, and when compared to most of the other types of umbrellas one usually buys, I think this is well worth it.
It should be noted that I have not had a chance to use this umbrella in the weather it is intended for.

UPDATE 2014 (new and improved now with more nonsense): The skull and bones umbrella has now seen its first wind and rain storm. It's doing a rum-tastic, bombastic, rugged-pirate of a job against the elements. It has not 'blown back reversed,' and all of the metal ribs are holding up harder than a peg leg made for Wolverine. It's also quite handy when shielding yourself from Ninjas. If the internet has taught us anything, it's that there is a long-standing feud between these two factions of frisky fighters. This umbrella's beautiful skull and bones print, may, however, identify you as one who rather be a 'scourge of the sea' than a 'master of sneak.' (**author does not recommend challenging a Ninja to a duel with merely an umbrella.)
They do get an A++ on service. I wrote them about the broken umbrella and they apologized and sent me a new one at no extra charge. However, this one also took a while to come, and the box was also damaged, and something was rattling - uh oh! However, I opened the box and the black tip of the umbrella had just fallen off - the fix was a simple matter of pushing it back on. I might get some glue for it later.
They umbrella is extremely cute, however, so I'm glad I got it.

This umbrella still gets compliments even though it's got a broken arm. The handle and tip is a cheap plastic and it's super flimsy. Read morePublished on November 6, 2013 by Spicy Tuna
I purchased this as a parasol several years ago, and it gets a lot of use. Even though one of the tines recently broke, it still works, and I would definitely recommend it.Published on July 11, 2013 by lilly
