4.0 out of 5 stars A lite pirate RPG, May 3, 2007

This review is from: Skull and Crossbones: Roleplay on the Spanish Main [BOX SET] (Game)
One of the better, lite RPGs put out by FGU. The folks at Fantasy Games Unlimited were famous for their easy, topical RPGs. Skull and Crossbones (S&C) takes about ten minutes to learn. My gaming group has played hundreds of hours of pirate table-top sessions over the years. The game was first released in 1980. FGU has maintained a low-level of production for many of its RPGs, but S&C has fallen out of print.

If you are looking for a lite role-playing experience in the pirate genre, I highly recommend S&C.

Two caveats, this is not for the crowd looking for high levels of detail and realism, and the gamemaster needs to be able to do some improvising.
