Book Description

September 4, 2008
SKULL JUGGLER – DISENCHANTED. Christopher, the new king of Roc, does not enjoy his life. With the mysterious murder of his father always in the back of his mind, Christopher is thrust into a political masquerade where his mental and physical freedom is pitted against his survival. He must make alliances with people he hates in order to keep life going as it always has, even agreeing to a loveless marriage. When the Skull Juggler comes to the castle for the first time, his appearance sparks a chain of events that eventually leads to Christopher’s death. But Christopher, even dead, has no intention of going quietly into the night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, November 9, 2008
This review is from: Skull Juggler: Disenchanted (Paperback)
This book is an awesome fantasy novel. I especially enjoyed how the book switched between Christopher's POV and the background chapters. It adds an interesting way to give the reader the information they need without Christopher learning it, since he should already know local legend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Skull Juggler- Disenchanted, October 1, 2008
This review is from: Skull Juggler: Disenchanted (Paperback)
Natalia Locatelli

I started reading The Skull Juggler with a little apprehension, since fiction is not my accustomed literary genre reading; after a few moments, I found myself engrossed in the tale, brilliantly displayed by Natalia Locatelli in well narrated chapters that will not only capture the attention of her intended audience, it will attract parents and grandparents as well. I congratulate this young and prolific writer -four more books to come in the series, and encourage her to continue her fantastic journey into the lands of mysterious kingdoms and witty, seditious royalty.

I particularly enjoyed the first person narration of the young, newly crowned King Christopher, who embodies the dilemmas of each generation's youth and helps readers experience the pain and agony of entering adulthood.

Congratulations!

This review is from: Skull Juggler: Disenchanted (Paperback)
Skull Juggler: Disenchanted creates what could be the beginning to a great dark fantasy series. As one might convey from the title or cover image, the story centers around death. In the first chapter, the reader is introduced to the series' main character, Christopher, and much of the book is spent giving the reader a better grasp on whom he is. The reader is also introduced to the Skull Juggler and his...strange talents. While the book itself is serious in nature, the characters speak in a somewhat child-like fashion, helping the characters to connect better with the likely intended young-adult audience. The 'Interludes' in between chapters make for a very interesting background to the story's events. Most impressively, the book lays some of the foundation for what could become a formidable fantasy world.
