5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!
Beautiful sound quality out of these headphones, especially at loud levels. I expected there to be some distortion when cranked over to full volume, but there is almost none. At least 5 times better sound quality than my Lowrider's that i upgraded from.

As for looks, they bring attention, but they are not over the top like some other Skullcandy headphones...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!, October 8, 2008
Beautiful sound quality out of these headphones, especially at loud levels. I expected there to be some distortion when cranked over to full volume, but there is almost none. At least 5 times better sound quality than my Lowrider's that i upgraded from.

As for looks, they bring attention, but they are not over the top like some other Skullcandy headphones. The leather on this feels really nice and it has a snake skin pattern to it that you can't see in the photos. They fit on my head really well, and fit over my ears even with my industrial in, and I have a fairly large head.

i would recommend these to anyone who likes their music fast and loud, and needs headphones that can keep up with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Be Happy!, September 23, 2008

These headphones rock. Easily the best I've owned. Make sure to listen loud, that is where these shine! These are high quality all around and a good deal, especially with the album download. Great sound, great style. I personally haven't tested to see if others can hear the music when I'm using them, as I do not care. I bought these for my listening and that's all I've been concerned with.

Oddly though, Death Magnetic might not be the best album to listen to with these given the records screwy mixing. The songs are great and all, but you should test these out with something else. I think Black Label Society can show the power here.

My only complaint is the cord is pretty short, which is an easy enough fix. They could be a little more comfortable, but I wouldn't say these hurt my ears or anything.

I bought these for myself and my teens who only use earbuds and turn their nose up at headphones love these. In fact these headphones disappear quite often the teens fight over them. The sound quality is amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome sound, September 24, 2008

What can I say. Metallica and Skullcandy. They go great together. The only reason this got four stars is the size of the cups on the headphones. If they were a little larger diameter they would be a five star for sure. (I have large ears). They still fit ok, they just could be a little larger. The sound is phenomenal from them and for the price where you can't go anywhere else. They seem very well constructed also.

In my opinion, Metallica is the greatest band there is, ever was, and ever will be. No other band can match the talent, sound, and speed of such a band like Metallica. So when I saw that they united with Skullcandy to make these Hesh headphones, I jumped out of my seat in excitement. The first thing that I did, was add this to my Wish List. I purchased them about a week or two later, and awaited the arrival of these epic headphones with much eagerness. I came home from school one day, and was greeted by a medium sized box with bold letters firmly stamped across titled "Amazon.com". I ripped open the box, and opened up the package. I plugged the greatly designed headphones into my iPod Touch, and listened carefully to what would be blasted in a few seconds. As soon as the music began I smiled and had an awesome feeling inside. I had this feeling because what I had been searching for, for so many years lied just before me. I finally found a pair of really nice headphones that would suit a metal fan, such as myself. Most metal fans would likely agree that having headphones made primarily for heavy music, would be a dream come true. I continued to use these headphones for about three or four more months, until one day they fell onto the ground and cracked. The left speaker had fallen off of the base. I tried super gluing it, but nothing seemed to work. I finally decided that the day had come to retire these headphones and begin another search for headphones. For the three to four months that I owned these headphones, I was greatly satisfied with the performance this bad boy consisted of. I highly recommend these headphones to whoever is a metal head, or a rock fan.

Comfort: They never seemed to be uncomfortable until the day that they cracked(obviously). The speakers have cushion like rings around them for your ear. It also looks real cool. Almost like snake skin if you will. They will satisfy your ear's comfort as if you are laying on a pillow. I wouldn't go as far as saying that they are five star. But they do get pretty damn close.

Sound Quality: The sound that these headphones generate are(I think) made especially for the heavier side of music. You know, stuff like Metallica, Slipknot, Sevendust, Disturbed, etc. They sound really good turned up loud. The bass is great.

Style: What a lot of people do not know, is that these headphones are not expensive solely because of the sound. Above all it's the design. People will buy them because it has Metallica on the side. But take my word for it, they have great sound. But overall, the design racks the price up quite a bit. The design is really kick ass though. I lost count of how many people complimented the headphones look while I wore them. Once again, they have a design specifically for metal music. It really improves the image of a metal head, wearing these.

These headphones the delivery reaction from Parkers Best Mark was great I ordered Wedsneday and got Friday.Alright to the reason your.

These headphones are very stylish they small with a medium sized tote bag for when u can carry them around.

I gave them a 4/5 because they can be a little tight when you have glasses. And they can start to hurt when you wear them for extended amounts of time.

The sound quality is amazing. It has a very KICK-ASS bass.

It comes with a removable extension if you want to make your chord long or short. The plugs are compatible with other Skull Candy chords. I have one that hooks up to my t.v. that I use for my Skull Candy Gaming Series. Just a little side note.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Sound For Price......, February 5, 2009
This review is from: SkullCandy (Product Out Of Date, Newer Version Available) Metallica Lowrider Artist Series Headphone w/ Death Magnetic New Album Download (Electronics)
I do like the headphones, but my ears took awhile to adjust to them....and it was painful, couldn't wear them for longer than 1-2 hours. Also, the top part folds, so it's easy to get your hair pinched and ripped off in it. Ow. The sound is good for the money though, and I use them a lot, my ears eventually got used to the headphones and they don't hurt as much! 4 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Metallica Memorabilia, January 2, 2009

I picked these headphones up because I'm a huge Metallica fan and wanted to replace an old pair of broken headphones. I plugged them into my ipod and was immediately disappointed. They don't sound horrible but they don't sound great either, even adjusting the EQ settings. Sterile is the best way I can describe these headphones. The lows and highs are balanced but sound strained even at low volume. I think $30 would have been a better price for the sound quality.

They are made very well though, comfortable and nice-looking material. The "leather" seems good, the cushion is soft and the embroidery isn't botched. The skulls printed on the side are very well done and plastic all around is solid.

The main cord is short but comes with an extension to make it normal length. Without the extension you could easily use these headphones with an ipod in your shirt pocket. There is also an inline volume knob built in.

I would not recommend these headphones. If you're looking for great headphones to enjoy Metallica or your other favorite bands, look elsewhere. I recommend starting here for the price range: SR60 by Grado Labs.

2.0 out of 5 stars Skullcandy tastes like crap, November 23, 2008
They look pretty. Thats about all. Very uncomfortable, cord is too short, and they heat up your ears very fast. I would give the sound a 4/10. The earbuds that came with my mp3 player sounded better. This sounds like some teenagers honda civic, all bass and nothing else. I would not recommend these.
