Customer Reviews

Not the most comfortable fit for my small ears.
Catherine Walters
They stay in your ears really well too when you are running, which is a big plus as well.
Crystal Guzniczak
They have good sound quality and serve my purpose, I would recommend.

These headphones are so adjustable. The black ear piece turns and also extends or retracts to fit practically any ear. Both ears have the same length chord, which I prefer. The headphones also come with an extender, so they can either be normal length or you can shorten them to an appropriate length for an arm band. I love not having the extra chord there when I'm working out! The only bad thing is that it's sometimes takes me a little longer to put them in, because I have to get them adjusted to how I like them. It's well worth it to not have your inner ear hurt after wearing headphones. I've worn these for hours at a time. The sound quality is crisp and above average for headphones.

I like listening to music when I exercise, but it's hard for me to find an earbud that will stay put when I'm in motion. Furthermore, I don't expect to treat my earbuds delicately, so don't want to spend a whole lot on them. I'd tried the Sennheiser twist-to-fit earbuds before, and they worked pretty well--they stayed in place and sounded OK. The only problems were that they'd be uncomfortable after an hour or so, and if you ever lost one of the little rubber discs that hold the earbud in, they're like $5 + shipping to replace (they couldn't cost more than $0.05 to manufacture.) I lost the discs on my latest pair, and decided to try these. These are the first Skullcandy phones I've tried, and they seem to do the job well. The main functionality I was looking for is there--they stay on my head, and they're comfortable (and don't have little parts that can fall off). The sound quality isn't anything to write home about, you hear your music, but it's tinny and there's no bass to speak of. Not a huge deal for me, I have better earbuds for when I'm not active and want to hear intricacies. Only drawback is that there's a connector jack in the middle of the wire. I don't know what the purpose of that is really, but for me, it just adds weight and provides another connection that can come loose. I've had to give it an extra squeeze now and then to make sure full contact is being made. All in all though, good product, and good for active use.

I really like these earbuds for running and other activities. I am not a tech-no geek but it have tried others and I can't keep them in while running. Most of the other ones I used fell out and I had to keep putting them back in, and I payed much more. I was surprised at the quality of sound. Great product

I bought these to run with. I use an iPhone 4, and the headphones that came with it slip out of my ears when I get sweaty. These were my replacements.

Construction: Good, solid, don't feel cheap, the two-piece removable extension cable is a nice touch.

Comfort: Good, don't hurt when I run and are anchored solidly in my ears.

Sound Quality: Not good at all. I didn't think I could find worse headphones than my iPhone shipping headphones, but these are.

Overall: Since I listen to pod-casts while running, they aren't so bad. The sound quality is noticeably worse than what I was replacing, but they fit the bill when it comes to staying in my ears. Meh.

These are actually pretty good. The sound quality isnt that great, but good enough for me while Im at the gym. The cord is extremly long and actually has a peice in the middle to make it shorter, only not like you think. Its weird. I wear my Zune on my left arm while I run/workout, and I have to run the cord through my left sleeve and out the colar of the shirt. Not idea but it works. I like the wrap around the ear feature which is why I bought them in the begining, but the actual speaker itself doesnt really fit my ears. Not the products fault, I just have small ear holes. They are pretty water resistant. I sweat like crazy but havent had a problem.

JVC makes a good set but I cant find them anywhere, I had a pair but they didnt last me more than a year. I think the sweat got to them. But they made my ears hurt, but again, probably because I have small ear holes.

I use these headphones for everyday and during exercise. I do not like regular earbud-type headphones because, although the sound is generally superior, I need to be able to hear my surroundings and it really bugs me that they are falling out too often. I almost always prefer headphones with hooks so that they stay in place without feeling pressure in my ears. These headphones are decent for the money. They are very light and, much to my surprise and delight, come with a short cord and an extension. When I use these exercising, the short cord keeps them out of the way so they don't get snagged and broken. It is VERY hard to find headphones with this feature. Sony makes a pair but they are buds. These are the only headphones with ear hooks that I have found with this option. For me, this alone is enough to put them high on my list. I plug them into a Jabra bluetooth stereo headset receiver that accepts external headphones and I am good to go using them with my iPhone.

As far as the quality of sound, they are bell-like and clear but lack bass so if you want thumping beat, look elsewhere. Just to make sure it wasn't in my head, I compared them to a few other headphones (none of which I would put in the audiophile category) that I have used. Their long cords (normal length) make them less useful for me as I mentioned above. I plugged everything directly into my iPhone so bluetooth stereo's lack of range and fidelity wouldn't get in the way. The Chops were in the middle of the pack in terms of fidelity. I like their sound; I'm a sucker for clarity but I just wish they had more bass. The bass line is largely missing.

The headphones are comfortable and very adjustable.
