This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
i love these headphones and i own both the titan and the full metal jacket they have different sounds but the titan wins overall better bass treble and
so far they seem more durable than the FMJ these also come with memory foam earbuds which are extremely comfortable and more effective at blocking out outside noise oh the dark grey actually look better in real-life than they do in the photo like better dark grey i would recommend these to anyone who is looking for high quality and durability

feedback from the wire! avoid!!,
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
As others have noted, these earbuds have issues with feedback from the wire. It is just as annoying and distracting as the others say. I wish I had read these reviews before I bought them. I don't know what the guys at The Absolute Sound (which gave these buds an excellent review) could have been thinking. Avoid these earbuds!! Yeah, they sound pretty good - if you're sitting absolutely motionless. But if you move at all, if the wire even brushes your shirt, you'll hear it.

I want my Sony EX51LPs back,
By
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
I had my backpack stolen and in them were my second pair of Sony MDR-EX51LPs that I got after the left ear died in my first pair. When looking for replacements I decided to try something new and looked around at alot of reviews and these had the best overall reviews from the most sources. Here are my thoughts on these buds.
Pros - Sound quality is pretty good but nothing really noticable above my sonys (from what I remember) - Durability, these seem to be built well, had thicker wire than my sonys - Different sets of ear pieces Cons - Around $25 more than the Sonys - DO NOT MOVE when wearing these... the feedback from the wire is HORRIBLE. There is no way I could work out in these without going insane - Not the most comfortable buds ever... the bigger 11mm speaker makes quite a bit of difference in fit. Also I cant put my head down flat in these buds and still be comfortable. - (minor) The jack isnt a right angle jack. Overall, if the feedback from the wire wasn't sooooo bad these phones would be much better. If that improved and the comfort was a little better these would be 5 stars with ease. However, the feedback is a major problem and I just might look to try to sell these and get me another pair of Sonys!

I've only tried 3 types of earphones. The ones that came with the new Creative Zen, the Sony "Studio Quality" $60 Earphones and these SkullCandy Titans. I have to say that these blow the other two away. The bass is tremendous while the treble comes through as clear and crisp as ever. The build is high quality, the silicon and memory foam coverings are excellent. Highly recommend these. My guess is these will match up with models twice the price.

Wow...,
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
Let me just start off by saying that I hate writing stuff on the internet because all the elitist, nothing-ever-satisfies-me internet tough guys out there make me sick, but I really feel that people need to know about these headphones because I am amazed and I wanna help you guys out in making a decision.
I am a severe audiophile, a musician, and an over-analyzer. I hear and pay attention stuff other people don't. I bought these because I needed a good priced set of earbuds to go to the gym with. I usually HATE earbuds because they're usually too uncomfortable for me to wear and never sound good (especially the low end). As a matter of fact, I HATE headphones in general because they NEVER sound good. After so much online researching, I gave these a shot because they were a fairly cheap price and put out the same frequency response as my Dr. Dre Beats studio headphones (20-20000k hz). Ok on with the review...I'm new to the whole comfortable squishy foam tip thing so I don't know how other headphones would compare to these buds...but man sometimes I forget I'm even wearing these. They fit snug and comfortably like a good set of earplugs would and hey don't fall out after headbanging. The high end this thing puts out is perfect. I was a bit wary about this because my sister has the Skull Candy Hesh headphones and those things have no high end at all. It's not ear piercingly high, though, and it is well balanced with the decent amount of low end these things give off too. It's a decent low end, not too bassy. I wish it had just a tad bit of more low end but what can you expect from such a small speaker. And the mids are right where they should be...IN THE MIDDLE. Unlike the skull candy mesh headphones where it sounds like whoever designed it cranked up the mids and made it with cheap plastic sounding bass and no high end. I like to run the Jazz eq on the iPod and they make these headphones sound even better. Of course these aren't as good as my Dr. Dre 300 dollar headphones (which don't need any eq's at all because these are the best headphones in the world!), but for [...] bucks I'm really happy with this. I listen to EVERYTHING ranging from classical to jazz, rap to rock, soft stuff to pop to crazy brutal death and black metal!! I'm not your average music listener. I wanted to get the Beats tour in ear headphones...but since I'm only gonna use it at the gym I decided to go with something that's still really good and 1/3 that price. The only thing I don't like is how the cable can get tangled and curly sometimes, unlike the cable that comes with the Dr. Dre headphones which NEVER tangle. I see reviews about feedback coming from the cable? I haven't experienced anything like that...maybe they're hearing or feeling the cable vibrate when it bumps up against something. Of course it's gonna vibrate and you're gonna feel or hear it up to your ears. All headphones do that. That's like the law of physics or some crap. I wish I could give it 4 and 1/2 stars.

Great sound, too much feedback from cord,
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
I really wanted to like these. The sound is great and balanced but the cord feedback just killed it for me since I need a good pair for working out and on softer tracks I could hear every little brush against my face or shirt. I'm not sure if the cord feedback is from the metal housing of the earbud transfering vibrations or the insulation on the cord itself. If Skullcandy fixed that issue these would be perfect.

The best Warranty in the industry,
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
These earbuds are terrific, the bass is incredible and the Treble is great, but the Thing I most admire is the Skullcandy Warranty, all Skullcandy headphones have a LIFETIME warranty covering defects, if your headphones are in one piece and not working skullcandy will send a brand new replacement pair,My freinds ink'd gave out and they sent him a brand new pair, but the clincher is thier "extreme enjoyment" warranty. If you break your headphones by cracking them in half or falling on them or anything physical skullcandy will send you a 50% off coupon for you next set of headphones, this is unheard of in the audio industry, and its the only warranty that covers accidental damage.

very good music reproduction!!!,
By
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
I bought the titans because of the review that I read in Absolute Audio Magazine-the authority in high-end music. The review said that the sound of this is NEUTRAL which i have been looking for. The only thing that the magazine review said about the titans is that the bass is overripe. Anyway, I wanted to give this headphones a try as I want to replace my Shure SE 210 which cost me $150 two years ago. The sound of the SE 210 is more of the highs. The sound is more forward sounding and the bass is thin. But I still consider this a good earphone piece because it reproduces vocals very well except for bass reproduction.
When I ordered the titans and arrived, I was excited to listen to it immediately. True enough, the music reproduction sounds neutral. It has very good highs too. The bass was indeed overripe which i prefer for my 80s pop music but not to much to my preference. This is an excellent earpiece for the price. If i will choose between my Titans $50 and Shure SE210 $150, hands down the answer is the TITAN. For the meantime, the titan is my reference earpiece and my quest for the most neutral earpiece continues.

Make sure you buy the version that comes WITH COMPLY FOAM TIPS!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
I'm not going to write a long-winded review analyzing and critiquing every aspect of these buds because I'm not an audiophile, just a typical music listener and gamer (I play games late at night so I always use headphones).
I'll simply say this: These are the best pair I've used compared to all the various other earbuds, and even mid-range closed-ear headphones, I've owned over the years. Pros: -Best sound quality I've heard in ANY headphone I've owned. Only much more expensive sets that I've tried at the store sound better, but not significantly. -Comply foam tips create a perfect seal, eliminating virtually all outside noise while listening at even low levels. I even wear them on the subway when I'm not listening to anything just as ear plugs to block out the high-pitched sounds of grinding metal, homeless people singing, and mariachi bands. -Comply foam tips are the most comfortable fit of any bud I've used, I forget I'm wearing them after awhile -Long cord -Great little round case to keep them protected and clean -Comes with extra set of Comply foam tips NOTE: There are TWO versions of these buds, both are identical except one comes only with RUBBER tips, not Comply foam tips! Make sure you check the description. Richmond Wholesale sells the version WITH the Comply foam tips! Cons: -Foam tips get dirty and discolored from ear wax over time (but hey, I don't have to clean my ears myself now!) -This is minor, but it would be nice to be able to draw the cords for each bud up close together towards your neck, but there is no plastic "ring" on these to do so.

Skullcandy Titans,
By Captain Morgan (Central Valley, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds (Dark Grey) (Electronics)
These headphones are the best earbuds i have ever had. The sound quality is amazing. They will also go to an extremely high level of volume and remain clear. These are extremely loud at full volume and i don't recommend turning it all the way up or you will definitly suffer hearing damage. The bass from these headphones is to die for. Full bodied and pumping are two phrases to describe it. The mids and highs are incredible and crystal clear. They are very comfortable and easy to wear. They are definitly worth the money. Leaps and bounds ahead of the ink'd headphones. Buy these you won't be sorry.
