My first grader absolutely fell in love with the Rainbow Fairy series and is now onto the Weather Fairies. Lovely, light stories, they feature young girls (just like her) trying to save fairies and their magical world. These are perfect books for readers beginning chapter books.

My daughter loves all things fairy related. When she first found these books she didn't have much interest because, she was so into the Pixie Hollow books. She has however, tried them again and has really fallen in love with them. They are a bit below her reading ability and don't pose much of a challenge. What I think they give her is confidence in her reading and pride in the fact that she can finish a book in just a few hours. I would recommend these books to any young girl who loves to read.

My 6 year old daughter is in 1st grade and loves this book series. She catches herself reading longer than the required time for her homework. I'm all for her being interested in reading and not just any reading but good stories for her age. I'm amazed she started reading these chapter books in Kindergarten. She has this color series, the animals series and she is getting the weather series for Christmas.
