More Great Cosmic American Music!, March 8, 2003

Another outstanding effort from master songwriter/storyteller/musician Dan Oakenhead! Dan blends blues, folk, jazz and country (with just a pinch of pop) to deliver a fine listening experience. Starting with the blues-driven "Pick Me Up" featuring some great harmonica, followed by a great sixties'-like folk anthem "One More Turn Around The Wheel", this CD is packed full with delights and surprises. I defy anyone to resist the well-known "toe-tap/head bob move" while listening to "Cooperation", another classic ode to life in America during these times. My personal favorite is "Cliffs of Moher", a tribute to the beauty, spirit and mysticism in this wee part of the Emerald Isle.
Dan has dedicated his life to his craft - his musicianship just gets better and better and better! Whether it's another guitar style, piano, synthesizers, harmonica or tin whistles - his playing and singing will grab you by the throat and not let go until it's over. YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS CD! YOU NEED TO BUY THIS CD! IN FACT, YOU NEED TO BUY ALL HIS CD'S - YOU'LL THANK ME!!
Plus he's still a Reds' fan after all those years in Rockies' country!
