Thisnisnan expensive plastic toy heli with 4 channel operation and gyro. I've tried a lot of helis this year and this is the best one. The gyro is exciting this year, previously you had to spend at least twice this price on a hobby grade heli to get that. The heli has a nice radio, that in fact I just saw on a hobby grade plane today. Most toy helis are infrared rather than radio.

The heli is very stable for a toy, I was even able to hover for short periods in the living room with one hand. Unfortunately this one, like other toys I tried would not totally trim and so it always suffered from some drift. That's a disaster, but I think you just have to expect that from these low cost machines, even tho it's an eensive toy.

The 4 channels allows it to move from side to side while pointing forward. That's way better than the three channel machines that have the tail rotor, those can only move in the direction they are facing. With the left thumb you control the throttle and the rotation. Like other gyro machines it rotates precisely and that's so cool. The right thumb controls forward/backward and side to side. There is no tail rotor. I'm not sure how it works, but it behaves as of it changes the angle of the main spindle in the direction of desired motion.

It's an excellent toy, but because it suffers from incorrect able drift it can only get 4stars.
